They should have fired him before MSU. I guess they felt that game would change nothing no matter the outcome, but once you know the guy is done, no reason to keep him on.
Florida can't be assured anyone is coming until the season is done. If Kiffin has Ole Miss with one loss and a good path in the CFP, is he gonna quit and move to the Swamp? Maybe he gives you his word but then Ole Miss goes on a run deep into the CFP. He changes his mind. Now two other coaches on your list are at Penn State and FSU. The playoff is making this thing much harder as opposed to when you had just two teams or four teams playing for a title.
