How Could Any Team But Bama Even Be Considered?

Do these left-wing, west coast lunatics actually think Stanford, Oregon, or Oklahoma St are better than Alabama? I seriously hope it's more of an anti-SEC sentiment than a genuine belief that these teams are superior to Alabama. Have you folks watched these teams play? Bama and LSU would slaughter ALL three of them...with a month for our defense to prepare their offenses would struggle to cross mid-field. The fact is LSU and Alabama are the two best teams in the country and the BCS was designed for the two best teams to face each other for the National Championship. Oklahoma St lost to Iowa St for crying out loud.... good grief. How could a rational human being compare losing to Iowa St and losing to LSU in Overtime? If Yankees and West-Coast Loonies don't like SEC dominance then step your game up and take football a little more seriously. The SEC is a machine, folks. We are college football. In the South football is a religion, not a leisure activity, or Saturday evening hobby. We live football and we live Championships. LSU vs. Alabama in New Orleans... I can't wait

Wrong, its designed to put the two most deserving teams.
It will come down to whether the votes care more about the one loss of each team (which gives Bama the edge) or the total body of work and wins of each team (which gives OK State, if they beat Oklahoma, the edge)

A case could be made for Okie State if they win against Oklahoma, but not because anyone actually thinks they are the second best team.

I don't think anyone with a brain thinks OSU, UO, or Stanford are better than Bama. But there is a difference between who is "better" and who "deserves" to play LSU.
There are voters that believe that Bama had their shot and doesn't "deserve" it. Right or wrong, that's how it is.
For the record, I really don't care who we play.

Oregon could hang in there with Bama and LSU. Stanford and OSU not so much.

Bama didn't win their division or conference. Beat only three teams with a winning record. Only one of those is ranked.

It is about total body of work, it is up to each voter to determine what they value more (losses compared to wins, margin of victory, winning conference, etc)

Bama is the second best team, but if LSU loses to Georgia, Bama will not get in the NC...book it.
