So much cope, sadness, madness, tears over the last week from so many SEC jealous fans. The tears have been delicious. Please keep these posts up. Lane train coming into town and it’s your worst nightmare. Brian Kelly is a douche bag that’s gonna be riding off into the sunset with millions for doing jack shite. If he can’t find a job, how come there’s still so many openings? If Lane can find a job while coaching, how come BK can’t? He’s been fired now. Bunch of bullshite.

And he’s suing to force LSU to honor a contract buyout they can’t afford.

It’s that part. That seems to be the part LSU is struggling with. SEC should withhold money to LSU until they clean up that. And if it’s not settled before next football season boot them from the league.

Yes

And LSU is fighting it in court, because he ghosted his own team.

Only figs like the SEC rant has think its because "LSU is poor."

A) LSU is not fighting him because they can’t afford to, they asked the State Attorney General’s office to fight him.

B) his boss very publicly fired him. No reasonable person is buying the nonsense he abandoned the position.

No, he is rightfully fighting it in court because LSU fired him for mediocre gameplay, followed by Kelly turning down two buyouts that were less than his contractually agreed upon buyout, which was then followed by LSU stating that he hadn’t been fired (statements made AFTER he refused two buyout offers) and then stating that they were firing him “for cause”.
quote:

LSU’s alleged sudden change of tune comes after the program attempted to settle with Kelly multiple times. The suit includes emails revealing offers of $25 million and then later $30 million, the latter broken into two payments.

Kelly is going to sleepwalk away with this lawsuit and he will likely receive more money since LSU tried to shaft him.

My alma mater is retarded.

He was fired for cause. Cause they sucked

Honestly though, video games give you a win total that you have to hit each year, its weird that actual CFB coaching contracts don't have a win/loss min. Its the main way they are assessed by everyone.

which was apparently caused by his lack of actually showing up for practice and meetings.

Which, if true, LSU did not address via the contractually agreed upon process.

The suit also details the process of a “for cause” dismissal, emphasizing that LSU would have had to inform Kelly within a seven-day period — to which Kelly would have had seven days to respond. Two weeks later, no such conversations have transpired, according to the suit.

LSU fricked this up badly.

They aren’t going to win this.

Lying, welching, stealing, cheating, and corruption all run deeply ingrained in Lousiana culture. Failure is who they are as a people. Sad.

Appears to be outside of the 7 day window.

Back when Woodward fired him (despite claims that Woodward can’t fire him), and if you disagree with that timeline, you could go with when he was offered his first buyout payment of $25 million on October 26th, or how about when he was offered $30 million by Julie Cromer days later.

And before anyone says, “Woodward doesn’t have the authority,” that is a crock of shite.

LSU is about to down grade, this is like the Gators firing Mullens without finding a coach that was actually better than the one they fired.

What any team in the SEC does it doesn't reflect on OU period until it does it's no business of mine.
It's fun to banter others no matter the situation. Far as lsu goes it should make any coach looking for a job to stop and realize it could happen to them as well.

not sure where you heard that LSU can't pay BK. you are totally wrong. one donor will pay the bulk of the buyout. it will be payed in monthly installments. it never will be payed in a lump sum. and why should it bother you to begin with. unless you are just worried that Kiffin will be successful at LSU and you are scared!
