It's easy to conflate the Chad years with PItman's final seasons but we actually had climbed past mediocrity in 2021 and 2022, finishing 9-4 and 7-6, beating several top 25 teams both years and getting back to back bowl wins.

That is asking a lot from this team.
I had them 2-10 and felt a little more confident and moved it to 3-9.
They could lose to Tulsa.

I hope the piggies find their grove. We finally got them back for Thanksgiving. So many seasons made or ruined on that day over the years.
After Arkansas my favorite game series have been Auburn and Florida. So much back and forth. Auburn was a guaranteed weird ending.

12 years is plenty of time to establish a team's reasonable expectations
6 years is plenty of time to establish a coach's abilities
Where in the world did AR create a possibility that this record equates to improving AR.
There is nothing in Silverfield's past that even hints of potential beyond just above mediocrity.
Just above mediocrity anywhere else is bottom of the barrel in SEC.
It was a baffling choice.
The hopes were even more baffling.
