Honestly Tennessee football just beat Alabama….they are probably one of the two best teams in college football at the moment. Their offense is high powered and real fun to watch most of the time. I was ready to give Tennessee some real respect.

If it didn't affect the players and coaches then streaks would be much shorter.
Do you know how many times we have had a better team than Florida but lost?
You can bet it affects the players. These are 17 year old to 21 year kids for the most part wth a few exceptions and they all have social media 24/7. They know the games that they are expected to win and lose and they do come in certain games with certain expectations, especially if their coaching isn't that great.
Heupel has brainwashed these kids through practice how to focus individually on each play as it comes and nothing else.
Hooker bought in the fastest and it has trickled down to everyone. That's how great coaches do it like Saban. Everyone just focused on fundamentals and what they practiced each play like machines and trust eachother and that they will come out on top as long as they just keep relentlessly executing.
We haven't had that mentality by players in a long time in Knoxville.

Played sports my whole life was recruited in baseball by big programs at one point. Seen lots of super talented guys who are mentally made out of toilet paper.

In fairness, Tennessee was playing without their top 4 cornerbacks at the end of the game.
Alabama was lucky Tennessee had all those injuries or it could have been much, much worse.
