I think there was a request and I think it was denied.
Pure scuttlebutt though.

Well that sucks. I'd absolutely LOVE to seat The Golden Band from Tigerland behind the visitor's bench!

Do any of you Aggie fans know if TAMU has requested a waiver on the "no students behind the visitor's bench" policy?
Yes, we requested and were denied a waiver.

Not a bad idea.
The golden girls will be able to take the visiting players attention away from the game.

A&M wanted to set aside a greater number than they had available, but just couldn't do it without eliminating season tickets already sold. I'm pretty sure that Arkansas, for one, doesn't set aside 7000 seats for visitors at Fayetteville (they've never had that many visitors actually make it to Fayetteville--we took 6000, which is what we gave them at Kyle, and Hog fans were telling us they hadn't seen that many visitors in the hills).
According to Southeastern Conference policy, schools must allot 7,000 seats for visitors, 2,000 of which must be in the lower bowl, said Brian Broussard, associate athletic director for ticket sales.

Well that's part of what I was thinking. The truth is I'd just like an excuse to seat the band at the fifty yard line, in recognition for all they do.
Kind of in the spirit of what the Aggies do for their students.

The Baylor fans were having fun at your expense over this:

It's possible. I was under the impression that it used to be 5,000 seats total, with 2,000 of those in the lower bowl behind the visitor's bench. Mainly for the visiting band, and the families of the players.

Is A&M just now changing the area of their student section?

Nice to meet you too. That's what came up when I googled SEC seat policy.

Sorry to hear that. At least your school is making about double what it used to make in the Texas 12.

If that endzone addition were a woman, I'd stick my penis in her.
