I think some ADs are going to take a look at the steel construction material considering how much A&M was able to do in such a short time. You simply could not have done it with concrete because of the time it takes to set.
It's not just the time factor, but the cost. Building with steel erector set bleachers is much cheaper than concrete pour.
It's why UCF was able to build BrightHouse Stadium for $55 million. Edit: To put that figure in perspective, UCF built a whole 45,000 seat stadium for $55 million using steel erector set construction, whereas LSU built an 8,000 seat free-standing seat addition to Tiger Stadium for $75 million using concrete pour.
UCF is already considering expanding it by 10,000 seats, to 56,000 seats total....

Soon...
...pic taken by Jefferson Davis on 6/26/14. The SEZ addition looks to be on time for the first home game Sept 6th vs Sam Houston St.
Edit: The black area in the middle of the suites is where one of the new ribbon boards will be going in. Here is an old rendering of where the new ribbon boards will be placed. The ribbon boards are red in this pic:

One of my sisters goes to SHSU

You should come down with her. I have no doubt that LSU is going to make a big event of the first home game in the newly-expanded Tiger Stadium.

Would love to make it down. If not for SHSU this year then maybe TAMU next season

Really hope to see you down here sometime. You're good people!

They know how to get things done in TEXAS! No surprise that Kyle field is moving along so quickly. I wish Louisiana was the same way.

With respect, our expansion is nearly done, and will be done with concrete pour. Because LSU had the luxury of time, due to the fact that our stadium was designed better at the beginning. We simply didn't have to do as much to get to basically the same point. And even then, Tiger Stadium's sight-lines, accessibility to both seats and amenities, and amount of premium seating and chair back seats are unsurpassed. By Kyle Field or anywhere else.
No disrespect to the Aggies intended, because what they've done with Kyle Field is nothing short of amazing. But the Aggies just spent $500 million in order to have their stadium be mentioned in the same breath as Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tiger Stadium,, and Neyland Stadium. And they needed every dollar spent to do so.
The fact they were willing to raise the money, plan it out as efficiently they did, and achieve the progress that they have deserves everyone's admiration.
But not at the expense of taking away from what LSU has built, maintained, and improved on in regards to Tiger Stadium.
We Tiger fans are so spoiled. We get to sit in what is the best fan experience in college football. And we're not done. There are more improvements on the way, both inside and outside the stadium.
If you don't believe me, I suggest you peruse my thread A tribute to Tiger Stadium...best stadium in the SEC!

Tiger Stadium is awesome.
However, Kyle Field is its superior
And like Rex in Babe, nothing will ever covince me otherwise

Beautiful stadium, but in what way is it superior to Tiger Stadium? Not in suites, premium seating, access to seats and amenities, or sight-lines. I doubt Kyle will even have more Standing Room Only (SRO) spaces available...
Tiger Stadium (Top area of SEZ addition is SRO)
Kyle Field (Top area of corner towers is SRO)
...it's close, but I have to think that Tiger Stadium will have more SRO spaces available.
So honestly, and this is in all fun by the way, in which areas is Kyle Field superior to Tiger Stadium?
Edit: Keep in mind, my post was in response to this:

Kyle Field is in Aggieland and Tiger Stadium is on foreign soil.
Location, location, location

My post was really tongue in cheek, of course. You can lay out why you feel TS is better until the cows come home and still I will prefer Kyle at the end of the day. I am biased and damn proud of it, as you should be as well

ETA: And yeah idk what that other post you were responding to was trying to say. The nature's of the two renovations are completely different so comparing them straight up is foolish.

I understand the whole hearts and mind thing. No one better in fact.
My post was directed more to my fellow Tiger fan for not giving LSU credit where credit is due.

Oh quick question to my Aggie friends...is there a 3D seat site for Kyle Field like many schools have? A Mississippi State fan linked theirs and it looked identical to LSU's... 3D Seats
..and I wondered if TAMU had the same or similar program available.
Edit: Here's State's... MSU 3D Seats
TIA

Appreciate the effort. I'll do some digging myself.
Edit: There is a site, but it's for the old Kyle Field: Old Kyle Field
Here's the fabulous view from the old visitor's seats:
So far, it appears this site is the best there is for the new Kyle Field: Seating Options
Here is a link to the home site for 3D Seats: Ballena Technologies Inc.
