So if I'm reading that diagram correctly, the first deck's general seating will be cut almost in half? And replaced by suites? Do season ticket holders just get relocated to the second deck right above?

All the existing season ticket holders had to go through a seat selection process last summer based on priority points. The new 2nd level will be all "club level" seating, meaning that these seats will have access to a fancy concourse and booze i believe. This greatly increased the cost of the section from what the previous 2nd deck prices were so many 2nd deck people move to less expensive sections as well. Many long time seat holders finally got priced out of their "lifetime deals" that they made back in the day.

Didn't realize the relocation/seat selection process was that large, sounds like quite the undertaking.

Sounds like plenty of fans got pushed out of their sideline seats and into the endzones, which I guess is the new norm in big-time college football.

My one complaint about the stadium is it will will have a relatively low sideline/endzone seating ratio. About half the seats in the stadium will be in the endzones or corners.

Yeah I had mentioned a few pages back that your endzone upper decks are pretty damn big. But I guess you guys would have had to legitimately tear the whole stadium down and start over if you wanted to have the same number of seats without having so many in the endzones.

I wasn't against that, but the city of College Station wasn't gonna let that business escape them for a whole year.

Although, I look at something like Bama's stadium and realize it isn't all that different..

Eventually, I'm afraid our students will be displaced from the sideline seats to the endzone with donors getting the sideline seats.

As our fanbase grows, the stadium cannot sustain 30k premium seats going to students.

As our fan base grows so does demand. The seats stay the same(quantity) and it drives the prices up. Higher prices make it easier to keep/afford the great seats for students.

If the university keeps growing like it is 30k seats might not be enough either

It already isn't enough for everyone, but it's still far bigger than everyone else.

That's not really what I was referencing.

Eventually, the fact that only about 20k alumni are sitting in premium seats in a 100k stadium will create some rabble rousing. Eventually enough big money ags will support moving the students that it will happen.

I guess I have a little more faith in our alumni base.

Who is your architect? Populous or 360? Not that it matters, either way they are going to work within the budgetary constraints they are given.

Some Mizzou people are complaining that the light structure awning that was originally shown to cover the entire east side is now only a few small sections at Faurot Field.

Not sure how good an idea that is anyway, though I do know the new Braves stadium Marietta, GA is going to have a canopy that covers near the entirety of the seats.

Yeah, I was wondering about that, too. Knowing that the CS businesses would suffer if a completely new stadium was built explains it.

End zone seats aren't necessarily bad if they're up high enough. Corner seats are even better up high. I like my corner seats at CWS.

Am I making things up or wasn't there talk of the Ags playing in Reliant for a year?

Yeah it was thrown out there. The CS business owners went nuts since A&M football makes up such a huge portion of their revenue.

Yes it was proposed and CS business owners lost their shite.
