I wish we had left off the logo. Kinda doesn't fit on a classy stone structure to me. Just put an obvious dot that matches the boundary lines at the site of MSU in Oktibbeha County and be done with it...

To be fair to Sanford, It's not a traditional horseshoe. It's tall on the East end with a lower bowl on the West end.

they're still there....we added the upper decks and the ramps kinda cover them. they're still along the endzones
I knew there were on the ednzones, but on the side they're pretty much covered. They're basically not in sight.

True -- isn't that the student section?

no they're not visible anymore, obviously, but the original structure is still there, just like the other old stadiums that have built upper decks over their original structures

Eh, I think the logo is good enough and not tacky.
But the poster above alluded to all types of vandalism that will be going on where Ole Miss is as well as the State logo. That can be taken to the bank.
I'm sure there's a line item in some budget for cleaning up whatever may be used.

Its disappointing seeing what was covered. Kyle once had some great arches.

The east side is 100% visible when you are walking along the east side.
With the south side that now makes 3/4 sides with visible arches.

Wow, that's an awesome photo. 84 years ago. I would love to go back in time and listen to that half-time performance.

From what I understood it was blocked on both sides.

both of those pictures you posted are the same side (one current, one from the 90s)

That's the same west side.

The Tiger Stadium east side is pretty close to academic buildings, so it's not really all that appealing to look at.

Gotcha. Happen to have a pic of the other? I have yet to make a trip to Tiger Stadium.

One of them, yeah. It's typically pretty laid back and can be kind of sparse at the start of games (except for big games when it is shoulder to shoulder). Most students try to sit in the section nearest the band (near the opposite endzone). Personally, I think they should move the students from next tot he band and put them all in one are near that small endzone.

If you are looking at an aerial pic you wont see the arches. That's why i said you have to be walking along the east side. I don't really think i have a pic that shows them and i'd hard pressed to not find one thats from not far off.
In general though the east side though juts right up against buildings so you cant really see much of it.

the original architecture of most of the SEC stadiums was infinitely better than what most of those schools have now. some of the setups were really cool too, like Georia's looking like an old amphitheater built inside a valley

here's the East Upper Deck. Looks shitty but it's really blocked by a hill and buildings behind it so it's not real noticeable
here's a view from the parade grounds. you can really only see the top of the upper deck, so it's not a big of a deal aesthetically
