kinda like this but with those cacti
Yeah, but I'm thinking the liability would be a concern. First idiot that does try to make it over a barrier like that would be in for some serious pain.

Adds and graphics. Plus you don't really want the view od everyone's crotch when looking at an endzone. Man that was fairly easy to address your mention about a temp barrier.

Hence, we don't need to have anything sturdy, we don't have idiots abound.
LSU used to have a shitty chain linked fence. They replaced it with something else because it looks nicer. It definitely looks nicer and is easier than carting in temporary barriers every game. With the stands being so close the the field, LSU not having quite a bit of room in between the players and fans, and the first row not being elevated, it's just logical that LSU would need some sort of barrier. A&M's first row seats are elevated quite a bit and has a concrete wall in front of the first row. It also has quite a bit of room between the first row and the field compared to LSU
Tiger Stadium's first row literally goes all the way down the the level of the field, unlike pretty much anywhere I can think of, and has no barrier in front of those seats. There has to be a barrier of some sort, so they created one that wasn't a 3 foot concrete wall that completely obstructs your view if seated

Same with us. It is where the bleachers for the recruits are located.

Meanwhile, at places like Sanford Stadium, we have hedges, a walk way, and a wall before the seats because it was designed and built in the 1920s (like most classic stadiums).
Tiger Stadium used to have hedges back a long time ago, kinda wish they still did. Think hedges look awesome; however, this was before they added seats down at field level, which I also think are awesome and unique

That's for the people/recruits that sit in the portable bleachers in the East endzone. There's a ton of room to mill about in and around the bleachers.

That makes perfect sense. Kyle once had a track is why its so far away. With the field moving fans will be much close, but still sitting higher than LSU's first row.

Why did LSU get rid of those awesome looking exteriors on the side?

there wouldn't be any liability owed to a trespasser in that situation, but yes inevitably some idiot would have the liquid courage to attempt to climb over a wall like that and immediately regret his decision to do so

Very few have a fence. LSU is one. I asked what the purpose was. You acted like a butch.
11 of the 14 SEC schools have either a fence or a hedge that serves the same purpose as a fence. Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi State have both. It's not "very few"

they're still there....we added the upper decks and the ramps kinda cover them. they're still along the endzones

is this a serious question? They're still there, they're just covered up now by the upper deck, unfortunately. Want to see something that will blow your mind...this is Neyland Stadium. They had dorm rooms built into the stadium as well. Many of them are still used as offices unless something changed recently.

That's a UTk stadium I would have enjoyed sitting in. Great views of the campus and Tennessee hills. Classic, open feel to the stadium. Now the damn thing is so claustrophobic which I guess has its effects in games. Not worth that much to sit in or look at, though.

i pray for the day that LSU finally decides to refurbish the stadium dorm rooms and turn them into hotel rooms. its been discussed but i don't think i'll ever see it though.
