Agreed. I would love to see bbap issue an apology to Farmer1906.

What would you have done to put that plywood? Just out of curiosity?

Says the guy that asked why there was a fence around the field.

Meh. You addressed it. Good enough for me.

They don't have them in the NFL either as far as I know.

Probably because most NFL stadiums are built for maximum capacity and pander to fans that want to pay top dollar to be close to the field as possible. Meanwhile, at places like Sanford Stadium, we have hedges, a walk way, and a wall before the seats because it was designed and built in the 1920s (like most classic stadiums). Sorry you traded in what historic charms your tackle box had for modernity and seating capacity

Due to the setup of the window frames they were unable to attach plywood to the exterior of the window. They decided to mount it inside so that if the windows broke they could at least keep out wind driven rain and deter looting.

You are a bitch boy who is fricking up a great thread because somehow your feelings got hurt by an Aggie asking an innocuous question about a fence.

Here's Mike's habitat. We crazy LSU fans put up a fence.

Why can't y'all stop talking about the goddamn fences? I saw 5 new pages and wanted more pictures/updates from around the league, but it's just 4 pages of stupidity about a frickin barrier that no one notices. Stop derailing this thread

I've never seen an LSU fan as insecure about something. Who fricking cares? LSU's fence isn't a normal thing except to football fans that think football started in 2000.

LSU, Alabama, and Ole Miss have a fence. Auburn, Miss State, Arkansas (in one end zone) and Alabama have a hedge of some sort. Alabama and Miss state have both. A&M is the only school in the division with neither. In the East, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida have a hedge. Missouri and Georgia have a fence in the endzone. So Georgia has both and Vanderbilt and Kentucky are the only East teams that have nothing. So, out of 14 SEC teams, there are 3 that have neither a hedge nor fence. So it's not normal? I'm not going to spend all day looking at every other conference, but I'd say 11/14 teams within the SEC alone is a pretty good indication it's pretty common.

I'm seriously going to laugh at this entire stupid discussion if A&M decides to put in a hedge or fence at some point. Honestly the serve different purposes at different schools. For some schools it's about aesthetics because, quite simply, they look nice when done right. Others do it when they have field level seats and want to create a barrier between the players and the fans. It has nothing to do with those schools having more unruly fans than others. It's just common sense. When you have that many people, many of them drunk, why on earth would you make it so easy to just walk out onto the field? Would you rather hire dozens of additional cops to monitor the sidelines the entire time every game or just build a gate as a deterrent?

Rumor is that they're going to install a hedge once construction is done in 2015. Something like this:

oh my goodness, is this a temporary fence i see in the endzone of Kyle Field. I mean why on earth would they ever need such a thing with such a well behaved fanbase? At least LSU erected something that doesn't look cheap like that.

I just went and looked at the picture, ours is up to obviously mark the boundary line, as y'all's is, it's just portable. Hence, we don't need to have anything sturdy, we don't have idiots abound.

It's making since the longer we talk about this.

And I was waiting for a tiger fan to answer my question about the plywood but the other Aggie ruined it. I'm sure tiger fans would have used a bunch of ducktape to put them up, though.

Y'all play nice for a while.

I mean I know you're joking, but I think that would be pretty cool and definitely unique. A 2-3 ft wall with cacti on top would look kinda cool imo
kinda like this but with those cacti
