Like bbap noted, the front row of stands has a wall.
No it doesn't. That's what we're trying to explain to you dumbass aggies. And why the frick are you trying to tell LSU about the features of Tiger Stadium?

Yeah that's the downside of having a stadium shaped like an oval, I guess.

I was talking about Kyle. Thought he meant generally.

Notice how fans are right next to the fence. Tell me again how it's strange that we have a fence.

Like I said, I was relating it back to Kyle Field.

I'm not

I was saying it was strange to US to have a fence. Answering someone who was asking why Kyle doesn't have a barrier. Just not something we think about because our front row is behind a wall but doesn't have an extra fence (unlike, say, BDS).
This is an information sharing thread. No one is trying to impugn the honor of LSU or Tiger Stadium in here. Sheesh, I've been more than complimentary of y'all's digs, in fact.

If not, there would literally be nothing separating the fans from the first row and the players on the bench.
No one said it was "strange.
A poster asked a clarifying question.
And, no, there isn't anything separating our players from the fans.
But cops & common sense do the trick

I've never seen an incident, and I'm a season ticket holder of 19 years.
Our front row:
The sideline is in front of those walls:

There's a row or two of seats between the wall/fence but iirc they are for student athletes
You can somewhat see them in this picture

FWIW, we have a wall along our stands as well. However, there are a few more rows of seats in front of the wall (I'm guessing they were added later), and thus the stairs are unobstructed all the way to the field. If it weren't for the fence, there'd be nothing stopping Joe Cajun from walking from his seat onto the field.
Here's a picture from a few years ago, before the chain-link fence was replaced by the wrought iron we have now:

There is two rows in front of that wall and it is only for student athletes in the student section. The rest of the stadium is treated as normal tickets.

Aggies. Aggies are my problem. I swear I've never met as many dumb people who go to a good school as I have at A&M.

Oh ok, gotcha.

Yeah, that's just not something I'd ever thought about. Most of the big 12/swc stadiums didn't have a barrier like that that I can recall.
Hell, after games at Kyle, folks are invited to walk onto the field and take pictures and toss the ball around. Didn't have a barrier like that at texas or baylor, either, i don't think (not sure about Baylor's new stadium, though).

You have issues

It's just a fence, and it's just a question. A valid one at that, given where we come from. None of us are making fun of y'all for having a fence (ok, I made one joke, but bbap started it

No one is trying to run down LSU in this thread or tell y'all about your stadium. Take it easy
