our track renovation looks about done. looks really nice (especially if you saw it before). I'm sure its not on par with Arkansas's facility but it's definitely an improvement. Just need to add some things to the walls so it doesnt look so drab.

A few days ago.
The brick is going up on the first tower. Looks sharp and matches Olsen well.

why did you post the baseball stadium?
eta: nvm missed the comment. we started with our fake brick too on the TAF offices (part of the south expansion)

I thought I read that the A&M stadium would be real brick? Is that real brick in sections created offsite or is it molded? If it's molded then LOLZ..

beats me. i just assumed everywhere used fake brick these days.

I don't know really know anything about molded brick, but they are starting to lay brick on one of the four towers that will make up the corners of the new facade, and it sure looks like just regular brick. It's not being laid on top of some other surface.
Edit: I see that the picture I saw has already been posted, and in it you can see "sheets" of brick. It looks like regular brick to me, but it apparently comes in large sections. I don't really know anything about construction, though. At all.

It's pre-cast concrete molded sections made to look like brick. It's what everyone does these days.

If you guys have erected a large building in the last decade with a "brick" facade, I guarantee it is the same stuff.

we currently are.

I could also pretty much guarantee you were putting up new buildings.
There's a reason it's called a façade. Even the hand-laid ones aren't structural.

That indoor facility looks nice by the way. I bet they are going to put up some wall decoration; it probably just isn't done yet.

My first and only trip to Tiger Stadium was this past season when an injured Manziel couldn't fend off the weather and LSU's players Super Bowl level motivation to pull out a win.
It wasn't loud.
There were tons of empty seats.
There was tons of piped in music.

It can be seriously loud but not always. Not during a day game with awful weather in a blowout.

yep unless its bama or a top matchup (where we're still alive for the BCS title) there will definitely be empty seats. we're not alone. bama is having the same problem. very spoiled fans. I cant really speak though. i dont have tickets but i often dont even take them when offered for free. instead i just stay at the tailgate spot and watch it there.

quote:I'm not a construction guru, but while the panels are pre-cast, the bricks are actual bricks (just thin ones), not concrete molded to look like brick. They used the same thing in Indianapolis for Lucas Oil Stadium.

That was the most miserable game I've sat thru in a while. That weather sucked.
