I seem to remember a man by the name of Joe Burrow that lost to Florida in 2018 and had just ok stats through that season then proceeded to have the greatest regular season of any college QB in history in 2019.

Same thing with another QB by the name of Jayden Daniels. Was just ok to pretty good in 2022 and then gave everyone nightmares in 2023 on his way to winning the Heisman.

So just because Nuss lost to Florida last year doesn’t mean he can’t flip the switch and become one of the best QBs in the country this year. I mean Nuss is the returning leader in passing yds in the country this year.

Now compare their rushing stats.

Who, Burrow’s? We gonna argue against the fact that he made a massive leap? You really need stats?

So you can read into the stats too much or you can watch the games.

Burrow and Daniel both had better surrounding offensive talent.

Nuss had no consistent deep threat, one decent RB, and a line that struggled with run blocking.

He's wildly accurate throwing the ball and he's got a stronger arm than Burrow or Daniels.

He did alright for only having a short to intermediate passing game. I look forward him to improve on his decision making this year. If he does, you should see fewer interceptions and sacks.

This was my favorite so far. Insinuating that Nuss will be better than both Burrow and Daniels.

And 4k yards through the air. He was better in 2024 than Burrow was in 2018, or Daniels in 2022.

Hey, I'll play. That was my quote. I never stated, argued, implied, insinuated, willed, believed, hoped, dreamed, or intimated that Nussmeier will be better than Burrow or Daniels.

You're just a stupid a-hole.

You said he is better than Burrow or Daniels at this point in his career.

This is what I said:

Statistically, he had a better season. That's a fact.

If Nuss was so good last season, why didn’t he jump into the draft? It was a historically soft QB draft class. Why didn’t Nuss take advantage of that and become a multi-millionaire overnight?
If Nuss doesn't have high upside, why is he currently a high first round pick right now?
