put Croom on the sidelines with that talent? Bro, what was Nutt's record against Croom? Why was Croom washed out of the league after 5 years and Nutt will likely get at least 15 years or more? It's pretty obvious Nutt is a far superior coach to Croom.

Houston Nutt is the ultimate example of doing more with less and I quoted why a few posts back. He does "more with less" better than Saban and better than Meyer can.

I also do not get the logic in how you think we should beat LSU? They have as good or better facilities as us as does most of the SEC except MSU and Vandy. Do you ever read some of the rivals or scout.com quotes of Ole Miss recruits? Most of them say they love the facilities there too. When you say deep in to the pockets of the wealthiest, what do you mean? you want to pay players? you want to cheat? we have the 8th or 9th best budget in the SEC and that is where we will finish most years in the SEC now that Nutt is gone.

Remove the Gus year from Nutt's final 6 and it only becomes worse:

18-22 SEC
10-17 Road
18-20 Top 25
1-2 Bowls (2 losing seasons)
Lost to Vandy twice

Is this the Nutt "system" that works so well? Hell, 2 of those years saw a combined 9 wins.

Our budget is around 5th or 6th in the league.

Our budget though is not reflective of the donors we simply call when we want something.

Example being we just called up donors for 1 mil for artificial turf then turned around and gave 1 mil to the campus.

None of these things are reflected in budget.

You name one school that can compete with the Waltons. Give me one.

When the worlds largest retailer (Wal-Mart) and the worlds largest poultry producer (Tyson) are practically part of campus, you lack nothing. Our yearly budget is modest but when we want something daddy gives it to us.

our budget is behind TN, Auburn, Bama, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, SC and Georgia. I'm sure Kentucky gets alot from basketball. The waltons have money but other programs in this conference have big boosters also. How does having the Waltons here suppose to help recruiting? They don't give a rats arse about sports brotha. Blue chip recruits are not coming here to be next to the Waltons, Brotha.

I want you to just face the facts and we can drop this thread. We can bring this thread back up when OM beats Florida again this year.

NUTT was the only chance we had to compete in the SEC. Petrino will do nothing here but lose lose lose, Win and then take the first bus out of town and we all know it. B/c Nutt is about relationships, the players, loyality, doing things the right way. Petrino is about himself , his playbook , his bank account , and his future job prospects and players and recruits can see that and that is why Nutt will be much more successful and whup Petrino.

well if you want to invoke the appeal to ignorance then I'll counter with my own and say his naughty night times haven't ever been disproven.

let me say this and I don't mean to stir the pot or irk anyone but I want this to be the end of it. I am by no means saying Nutt had an affair. There is no proof only some circumstancial evidence of which he claims they were working toward a local charity.

Anytime you've got a powerful, successful, charasmatic, I could go on and on , person such as a Houston Nutt, sometimes it takes more than one woman to keep you satisfied. Sometimes the level of stress and fame is so extrodinary in that posistion that it takes multiple lovers to satisfy you. Someone like Nutt may need multiple lovers to acheive an emotional state of being and level of satisfaction within himself to ultimately be a better football coach. The ordinary man might have his wife or girlfriend and that's all he needs. Someone like Nutt may need more to survive.

I will bet you my entire life's fortune right now that Ole Miss NEVER goes to a BSC game.

Never? Seriously? It will happen eventually, but if it doesn't happen within the next 2 years, we may have to wait until another litter of Manning kids come around.
