The pockets must not be that deep. Have you not seen the dump that you call a stadium?

A thread bragging about dumping $50+ million to fire a shitty coach you should have never hired in the first place is right on brand for some of the dipshit corndogs on this site.

Sounds like Louisiana, funding football buy outs instead of treating kids.

Lol…no one would ever guess, because LSU ranks dead last, (and it’s not even close) in endowments, in the SEC. The best and most obvious barometer of alumni support.

Firing assistants mid season rarely works out.

Play calling wasn't the problem. Defense just got beat by Marcel a bunch.

You posted a bunch of stuff, but didn't answer the question, "who stole the money?"

Here's who actually stole the money: John Paul Funes, the former president and CEO of Our Lady of the Lake (OLOL) Foundation in Baton Rouge.

LSU had absolutely nothing to do with stealing the money.

Except the part where the money was used to pay the father of an LSU offensive lineman.

Which is why it was a level 1 NCAA violation and part of the reason why LSU lost scholarships a few years back.

Prominent LSU booster

Who was connecting him with the players and directing him on how much to pay and to whom?

C’mon don’t be naive, whether he approached the coaches or they approached him doesn’t matter but he wasn’t just randomly sending checks to random players without direction

You cannot honestly say you believe that

If LSU is so damn flush, they can pay that buy-out fee they've owed since 1995. fricking deadbeats.

The CEO embezzled the money and gave some to an LSU player's family.

That is NOT LSU stealing the money. LSU didn't have anything to do with the stolen money being given to the family of a player.

I know everyone just wants to have fun at LSU's expense, but it's just stupid to say that LSU stole the money, or to use the embezzlement as any kind of indication that LSU is broke.

It was a rogue fan, not the university.

Besides which, the universities themselves don't even pay the buy-out settlements.

Right, a booster stole the money, not LSU, not even a representative of LSU.

So why do you keep implying that LSU stole the money?

I know.

But I'm just trying to come up with ANYTHING to keep from going to the grocery. Getting wound up on the internet is as good an excuse as anything else.

Ok, well remember this the next time you or any other LSU fan tries to claim Alabama paid for players including Albert Means.

Seems like one of these almost got Alabama the death penalty. And didn't even pay the player or his family. Just his high school coaches.

Lol…you’re self delusion is amazing. If LSU had “nothing” to do with the scandal, then why did LSU agree to vacate 37 wins, give up scholarships, undergo a bowl ban, as a result of the scandal? LSU was scared to death of a deeper investigation and the findings that might turn up. What we do know is assistant coaches were involved, an LSU affiliated foundation was involved and the university was involved. You really expect everyone to believe that the university knew nothing about the involvement of the CE0, who was a huge part of the Alumini and Baton Rouge communities? Lol….riiiight.
