Auburn's problem is as much one of talent as it is coaching. Your coaches have schemed and taught techniques well enough in the past to demonstrate that they know what they are doing. All of the star power in your recent recruiting has been on offense, and you just do not have the horses on defense.

I mean im still gonna go to AU and cheer my arse off my expectations are no longer geared for 2011.

We have plenty of talent on D. Young, inexperienced, non-coached talent...

The offense is ranked 8th in conference. Clemson had the ball almost a full quarter longer than Auburn did. The hazards of the No huddle. When it's not working, it screws the defense.

Yeah, the no huddle doesn't work for Oklahoma.

Did you see Oklahoma's defense?

AU fans are worse than LSU fans. You lost your first game in 17 games, and youre bitching? You won a NC LAST YEAR, and youre bitching? Good Lord

Our defense has sucked for 3 consecutive year, it is starting to catch up with us. We need someone back there that knows what he's doing because Roof obviously does not

Some of us are. If we still had Isom and Berry on offense and Clayton and Fairley on defense, this would be a good team.

3rddown defense is why teams win TOP.

It's not like they recruited a bunch of 1 and two stars on defense. These frickers are just under performing.

Will occur quickly aftr we are no longer bowl eligible.
I doubt we win 5 games.
Overreacting much? Clemson has a veteran team with a lot of talent. You guys are rebuilding with a rookie QB. I mean what did you really expect this season?

Just be glad you're 2-1 right now.

And no, we AU fans are not bandwagoners jumping ship. We all have been disgruntled about our defense for a long time.
How many Aubs have we lost here at TD since yesterday? I'm sure it's a couple of dozen or so.

I am glad we are 2-1 but... Yesterdays game couldve been won if our defense had made even half of the tackles they missed.
I didn't expect us to repeat, but as a fan you always expect to see progression at your weak points.
Roof has been a problem since he got here, he's had his chance and roof is chiziks responsibility. It's time to make a change IMO.

Gus has an impact on the Auburn defense in respect to him wanting to run his speed offense. If he doesn't realize at some point, in many of these upcoming games, that he needs to slow things down to rest his defense, then he is going to be part of the problem. We'll see what he does, but from what he's said so far, it's not in his lexicon.
This is very true. Very exciting offense, but it tends to drain the D. Auburn's defense being young doesn't help them either.
