Although we have exceeded expectations, I think we A&M fans should realize that we need to win in Baton Rouge to start getting some respect and win the West to truly earn real respect..of course I'm all for rustling jimmies along the way, but threads like this make us look a little desperate for attention, for now let's just stick to engaging in nonsensical bashing of anything and everything with these other SEC clowns and wait to beat our chest till after we get some more results

Just beating A&M was not the prediction. That was the point of the OP. People not owning up to outlandish statements when they don't come to fruition.
I don't think everyone predicted that Alabama would blow aTm out... and I'm pretty sure that a large percentage of those blowout predictions were intended to... how did Hugh put it? Rustle jimmies?
So yeah. My statement stands.

Well jimmies were indeed rustled. Just like A&M has rustled the jimmies of the SEC for 2 years now.

There truly is no difference between Longhorn fans and Aggies. They are one and the same. They are Texans. Prideful, arrogant, isolationist Texans. Aggies never realized how much Longhorn they had in them until they got a little taste of success, then the Texan comes out.
