Win or lose.....

What would the score/scenario have to be for you to have serious concerns for the Coach O regime moving forward?

Much the way Florida saw Kentucky coming up
Much the way we see MissSt coming up
Much the way we even see Texas A&M coming up

I don't really have concerns about other programs or teams.

I do think O has done a very solid job.

I think O should get a lifetime contract regardless

O has done a great job and I never thought I’d say that. He is definitely a likable guy but I never thought he’d make it as a HC. LSU is a lot like BAMA in a way that no matter who the coach is, they will almost always be competitive because of raw talent. I’m not positive he is the long term answer but he came in at the right time and reinvigorated the program when it was in a real decline. No matter what we say, this game is always marked on the calendar, not necessarily because of the coach but because it’s LSU.
Plus, he talks like y’all

O is a good coach, but I don’t think anyone believes he is a dynasty builder, especially LSU fans. There aren’t many Sabans. Fla and Ga have greater resources and equal or more fertile recruiting grounds, but neither has sustained success since Dooley and Spurrier, and neither built true dynasties. You guys just need to find the next great one...

...So Bama can take him, too.

He used caps 3 times in 1 post. Sounds pretty fired up to me.

COach O has earned alot of respect and rightly so.

LSU is always a QB away, can O recruit a good QB and if so what offense are they going to run?

He does appear to be beholden to co-ordinators tho.

Coach Eaux is doing really well so far. With the talent LSU gets, he shouldn't have any problem attracting and hiring excellent coaches. QB has been LSU's main weakness that he needs to remedy and then sustain. Nowadays it takes a strong passing game to win championships.

He has been solid this year. For me it is about his plan when Aranda leaves. The dude is a wizard...

I like Coach O. Probably a fine fellow to have a beer with, and not given credit for his intellect when it comes to football, because of his accent. That is a shame in my book. I root for Coach O and his guys, when they are not playing Alabama, simply because I think he is a good guy and I don't hate LSU. I grew up in south MS so I liked LSU way before I ever cared for MSU or OM.
If Coach O beats Saban this week, it was meant to be. IMO, the game could go either way, it is going to depend on the health of Tua, and how well Burrows plays. I don't see us running all over LSU, to be honest the games have always been close. Playing in that environment will be a challenge, but this team has been in some tough situations before. Most of these starters were in at the end of the NCG so they know some pressure.

I had to read this 3 times before I realized you didn't mean concern about him getting fired. That should give you an idea.

He's having a great season. No doubt about that.

So did Gene Chizik. So I'd wait to see if any success can be maintained before thinking what long-term effects he has on the West.

Not concerned about O no matter the outcome of this game. He’s still coaching a Miles team. Now, clearly the man can recruit, but the question is, does he know how to build a team? There’s a difference between the two. Chizik, for instance, could recruit, but he didn’t know how to build a team. Same with Sumlin. Highly-rated classes that didn’t amount to much. That’s the key. I’m not sure, based on O’s stint at Ole Miss, that he can do it. Now, if LSU sustains an extremely high level of success over the next few years, especially after the departure of Aranda, then I’ll become concerned. But this one game isn’t going to tell me much, unless you were to beat us like you did UGA, which seems unlikely.

that is total BS

you must be young

LSU football except for moment - garbage 80-99

Saban Miles had great runs and it was the HC

O has picked things back up

Bama was trash until Nick took over

talent ? lots of teams have raw talent
