I don't know why people are so perturbed by this. Arkansas played at Colorado State in 2018 as part of their home-and-home.

Because it just screams "we're poor." At least the one non Power 5 road game Alabama has scheduled is against USF which at least plays in a major city and a NFL stadium.

Because they came to Norman and we owe them a return game?

With this kind of thinking I now understand why the Big 12 was destined to fail.

why didn’t Boo Tulane schedule it in the dome instead of 30,000 seat Yulman?

I don't know, originally it was scheduled for the dome, then it was moved... COVID maybe? Or they did not want their fans to be outnumbered. I know that many had travel trips planned for this game, myself included.

When’s the last time bama scheduled an OOC away game with ANY school?

It screams insecurity.

I wonder if this will boost Oklahoma’s recruiting in southern Louisiana? Hmmmm

Hard to boost the national recruiting because we are #1 by a huuuge margin in 2023....

That said, the game is now moved to Norman due to Ida. Tulane will still be the home team and all proceeds from the game will go to them. I've seen a lot of comments from OU fans going to the game that they plan to make it a great time for Tulane fans in attendance.

Good stuff OU

That’s how we roll brother! I live in a town in eastern Oklahoma, population of less than 150 folks, 17 people in our volunteer fire department. All 17 of them have been in central Louisiana that last few days, waiting for the storm to pass. They are now further south. Us Sooners will talk some shite about football, but when shite gets real, we’ll do whatever we can to help out.

That makes no sense at all.
