We look worn out, but we should have had that game over at half and coasted. We have depth, but it is obvious we need the sum of all the parts.

Just looking around various forums, it appears the consensus is that we are going to lose this game, and that we may "need" a loss. The guys keep seeming to find a way though, and I don't see any reason they wont on Tuesday.

People always justify losses as being “good losses” but I think that’s BS. Last season Arkansas had a long winning streaked snapped in the SECt, which didn’t matter, but I didn’t think it was a good loss. Losses expose weaknesses. Hell, sometimes ugly wins expose weaknesses.

Maybe I’m old school, but a loss is a loss and losing is never good.

For Auburn Tuesday, they’ll play in an environment they’re not used to playing in. Granted, there’s probably only a couple places that compare in the league to The Palace. The bright side is that win or lose, the experience should prep AU for tourney time and playing in front of a large crowd that isn’t rooting for them. Adversity is good for teams, not necessarily losing.

That’s my take anyway.

Agree with this. I obviously want Auburn to get this experience without taking an L. Either way, this experience will help them going forward.

Arkansas fans love to talk about history.. and by relevant I mean by winning something, anything of significance in recent memory.

We need this. Only real “hostile” environment we’ve played in this year was Tuscaloosa and Athens and we must have had 2500 fans at each game. There will be hardly any AU fans there. It’ll be good to see how we prepare and handle it.

Probably just the handful of AU tickets that are behind the bench in the corner will be it.

Season tickets were sold out this year and the only availability for any Arkansas home game is the secondary market.

I am not worried. Actually, losing a game now would help because I like being the hunter rather than the hunted.

I said relevant.. not that you haven’t made a good run once this century to the Elite 8, which was your best finish in 26 or so years.

Then you've never ever been relevant.

We’ve won an SEC title, an SEC tournament title, made it to the Final Four and currently ranked #1 in the country in the last few years.. what have the hogs done lately?

Compared to Arkansas..

Last SEC title is mid 90s
Last SEC Tourney title is 2000
Last Final Four is mid 90s
Last #1 ranking is mid 90s

Let’s be real, most of your tradition is in the old SWC

They made the elite eight by beating a 14 and 15 seed

Broke a 25 year skid of first weekend wipeouts

But they think they’re still relevant.. they’re old news and history is all they have.

A single Elite 8 run in the last 25 years is the new standard of success for Arkansas basketball.

Amazing

You’ve made one final four in your entire history. Please don’t talk to us about relevance.

What’s amazing is only making it that far in the dance over a course of 115 years as a program.

Now that’s fricking amazing.

Even fricking Missouri has done better than that and they’re the armpit of basketball programs.

I'm just glad this conversation is happening. The shite talking was terrible with the uga fans who don't care.

I don't do much of it myself, but I respect it.

Going against popular demand, I usually enjoy your jokes and seeing you poke fun at Mizzou.

But let’s not act like 14 seeds are a cake walk for your Kansas program.

That’s kinda the way the NCAA Tourney works. You get rewarded for being a high seed.
