I dont think we have the depth to stay with Auburn if it turns into a track meet. Just not feeling confident on this one.

Auburn has been playing with fire on the road with lesser teams than Arky. This is a trap game and i expect Auburn to lose

I’d have to guess our strategy is going to be to limit the backdoor lobs. It’ll be on Johnson and Green to win the game for AU.

I’m surprised by that, but then, who in the conference has been #1 besides Arky and UK for more than a few weeks?

Can’t think of anyone outside of Florida. Kentucky has been to The Palace as the #2 ranked team. There’s a pretty large portion of league play where the SEC was down.

Top 5 Teams in The Palace
1995 #5 Kentucky - Won
1997 #3 Kentucky - Loss
1999 #2 Auburn - Won
2002 #5 Alabama - Won
2003 #2 Kentucky - Loss
2008 #4 Oklahoma - Won
2010 #2 Texas - Loss
2012 #5 Syracuse - Loss
2013 #2 Florida - Won
2016 #5 aTm - Won

Arkansas has hosted #1
1983 #1 Houston - Loss
1984 #1 North Carolina - Won
1991 #1 UNLV - Loss

None of above #1’s were in Bud Walton

Arkansas vs. AP #1 All Time
1973 #1 UCLA @ Los Angeles
1978 #1 Kentucky @ St. Louis
1979 #1 Indiana State @ Cincinnati
1983 #1 Houston @ Fayetteville
1984 #1 North Carolina @ Pine Bluff
1991 #1 UNLV @ Fayetteville
1995 #1 UCLA @ Seattle
1996 #1 Kentucky @ New Orleans
1996 #1 UMASS @ Atlanta
2008 #1 North Carolina @ Raleigh
2015 #1 Kentucky @ Lexington
2015 #1 Kentucky @ Nashville

Would be pretty embarrassing to storm the court after beating an inferior program

Pfft.. Arkansas hasn’t been relevant since the 90s.

It will be interesting to see the spread in this one. I'm guessing that the Hogs will be favored.

If I was a gambler I would take Arkansas in this game. I think Auburn is burned out from getting everyone's "A" game every week. Auburn only played the first 20 minutes yesterday and you saw an unmotivated and lazy team in the 2nd half, lots of turnovers and players not getting back on defense. Hogs win by 9.

I said relevant.. not that you haven’t made a good run once this century to the Elite 8, which was your best finish in 26 or so years.

Williams and Kessler should be a fun matchup. They actually faced off in high school and Jaylin got the better of him: LINK

Didn’t think they’d go against each other again when Kessler was headed to UNC lol.

If the Zebras call a game like they did last night against MSU we have no shot. Not enough depth to keep up with the tricky tack foul BS.
If the game flows more freely I look forward to Johnson annihilating one of the Barner guards on a dribble drive early in the game.

Wade will be the unsung hero if we pull off the upset.

Arkansas is hot and I am excited to see this game! I hope AU wins, but there is no denying this will be the toughest game in awhile.

Relevant as in being ranked in the top 10 within the last two seasons and making an Elite 8 run a season ago. Relevant as in Muss having the most wins of any coach in the SEC the last three seasons. Relevant as in managing more NCAAt appearances since 2000 than Auburns 4 trips to the NCAAt?

Or is relevant being Arkansas has been to the NCAAt more times since 1999 than your program has all time? Or is relevant being Arkansas having more Sweet Sixteen appearances all time than Auburn has NCAAt trips?

Auburn has had a program for nearly 120 years and has made a single Final Four. Congrats.
