Here's what I don't understand:
This followed an Arkansas interception at their own 1 yard line and a drive that went 8 plays in 3 minutes for 70 yards. At this point, it was 28-7 Arkansas. At this point, the game should have been over. All you needed to do was force ULM to punt and even Mike Sherman couldn't blow that lead.
Then there was this:
With 47 seconds left on FOURTH DOWN you give up a 23 yard TD to tie the game.
What makes it even more baffling was that, between the score that made the game 28-7 and the final ULM score, Arkansas ran the ball six times and attempted 16 passes. THEY DIDN'T RUN THE BALL ONCE IN OVERTIME.
quote:
2nd and 6: Brandon Allen pass complete to Mekale McKay for 13 yards for a TOUCHDOWN.

Don't remind us dude. I was calling for the wishbone. Any one of the Arky posters on here even wpsmomma & hawgalude could have protected that lead.
What happened to Wingo's wheel routes?

I almost had the impression PP thought the score was 42-7, and thought it would be a good idea for to get Allen some experience tossing the ball outside of practice. It was bizarre.

I'm in Tulsa. Not showing up on search. Cbssports is replaying the hell out of the confidential show this week. The next episode is going to be epic. That show might when an Emmy

My question is if JLS is going to be able to get everyone back believing after this. Will he be able to rally, or will he lose the team?

I don't want to hear another damn word out of Paul Petrino's bitch mouth. He didn't take a shred of responsibility in those quotes. Saying it starts with me and I've got to get better is a cop out. You need to do better? No shite sherlock.
CBMFnP philosophy is to get ahead and then pound the ball and eat clock and demoralize a weathered tired defense and strike deep for knockout blows. Paul thinks he needs to do better... That's what you do @ southern miss or Utah St. At this level you're expected to already be at the top of the game.
/rant. I wasn't really pissed until I read that article. What a bunch of dismissive crap

I have seriously thought about this all day. I want all Ranters to rewatch the 2nd half of our game and tell us what you see. The play calling was possibly the worst in college football history.

Was there not a 2nd episode this week? If so, I didn't see it. I wonder what the schedule is for new episodes? Either way they should change the title to "Train Wreck Weekly: Arkansas"...

It's not weekly. Looks like every 2-3 weeks there'll be a new one. Stonehog probably knows the production schedule

The best QB in the stadium was playing for ULM. And that would be true for many SEC stadiums. Kolton Browning is #1 in the country in both passing and total offense.

during the post game presser, i was shocked at how little JLS owned up to anything. he just sounded tired and over this whole "football" thing. he also said something about ULM being able to beat us should give us hope going into the bama game.
i was prepared to give him every benefit of the doubt, but i dont think i can take a full season of this. i say frick it and let Frank coach the rest of the season.

Simply put the worst play calling I've ever seen. As someone who grew up in the nutt era that is saying something. Dennis averaged 7.1, why he didn't see the ball more I'll never know. Just piss poor clock management and play calling.

Sort of like our 1994 game v. Auburn. When we had Curley Hallman at the helm.

I didn't understand Arkansas heaving to the end zone on every play of OT.

But Browning's heroics came about largely because the Hogs offense went three and out on four of it's next five possessions after taking a three touchdown lead. In fact they managed just one first down in regulation play after that third quarter score.

If we let the play clock run down on only two possessions, they don't have enough time left in regulation to score that last TD.

I also heard on AR Sports radio this morning that JLS made the comment that it may be time for him to take over play calling duties on defense.
