Does anyone realize that Alabama is an accumulation of at least 2-3 years of talent coming into the LSU game? My problem with the argument that Alabama hasn't played anyone is that many, many of our starters have been playing for several years.

It would be one thing if Alabama only fielded true or red-shirt freshman this year, but that's simply not the case. It just seems so ridiculous to judge this years Alabama team by what they've done since September 2018.

Your Title is a little confusing. Is it sarcastic or a serious statement?

I agree wholeheartedly. Which is why it's ridiculous for Bama fans to think that they'll hang 50 on LSU in Death Valley.

Sarcastic, now that you said something, though, it does seem a little misleading.

While I'm not arguing that Alabama is going to put 50 on LSU. I am making a statement that you can't define this Alabama team based on the year 2018 alone.

Including beating up on the juggernauts of Tennessee and Arkansas State.

Saturday is a whole new game.

It's as if you have something invested in this game...I'm just here to tell you Santa Clause ain't real, and Alabama's team/coaching experience goes beyond 8 games.

Does not compute.

But I agree with you that it's, "ridiculous to judge this years Alabama team by what they've done since September 2018." Let's look back to the last time Alabama played a conference road game at night in November...

Auburn, AL

Line: ALA -5.0
Over/Under: 48

Attendance: 87,451

No. 6 Auburn tops No. 1 Alabama 26-14, earns SEC title shot

Jarrett Stidham passed for 237 yards and ran for a fourth-quarter touchdown and No. 6 Auburn beat top-ranked Alabama 26-14 Saturday with a berth in the Southeastern Conference title game on the line.

...oh, ouch.

College should teach you rational thinking. If, after reading the OP, your posts are any form of:
1. You are insecure.
2. We gon win.
3. Stupid gump.

then the assumption is you never attained any higher education.

The post you responded to, within seconds (leading me to believe you had it ready to go for the first response no matter what), doesn't really meet your criteria.

You seem to have been on the defensive preemptively.

And yes, you should largely focus on this year's results. It's why repeat championships are uncommon. Small changes often have large impacts. You also have to account for changes to both teams on the field.

I'm not disagreeing with looking at the production for the team this year. I'm just pointing out that you can't discount the experience and 'big games' the team has faced over the past 2-3 years.

This post was aimed at people who discount Alabama's 2018 team because of the lack of SOS. It will all come to a head in two days, regardless. If Alabama wins then it will shut down the non-sense, if they lose the naysayers will empower themselves and say their posts were justified.

So you're saying we should take into consideration that this is the same group that lost to AU last year? The AU team that we beat.
There are so many flaws in your statement

I love the LSU talking that this Bama team hasn't been tested when this Bama squad has passed more tests than anyone on LSU's sideline.

YES! That is exactly what I am saying. I guess I could spell it out in caps for you.

QUIT DEFINING THIS ALABAMA TEAM BY WHAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE SEPTEMBER 2018.

I'll also add this disclaimer:

QUIT DEFINING THIS LSU TEAM BY WHAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE SEPTEMBER 2018.
