Fisher did that in the ACC. Miles is doing it in the SEC; better yet, the SEC west. I hope Miles stays.

Yet, Jimbo is 6-1 against the SEC including 2-0 in bowl games against them with a national championship where he ended the SEC dominance.

Did you see the stadium at Miami's last home game? It was empty. That is a dying program. UGA, Tennessee and Florida better than Miami.

That is Miami sports in general

Miami has been nationally relevant in most peoples lifetimes more than UGA and UT

UGA isnt even the best historic program in the Atlanta metro

And Florida State plays Florida. Florida State winds up playing 3 good teams a year. We don't play much more than that.

Auburn celebrated too early and let em come back. Game was shaping up for a blowout. Then they couldn't get it back up for the late surge and case of events that helped FSU.

We talkin' about the last 5 years specifically. And specifically as it relates to who Fisher has had to face. Combine that weak ACC schedule with a super weak Florida program, and it's a nice little cushy job he's got there at FSU.

not sure I understand all the statistics, research, fact checking, time consuming diatribe, from the Alabama fanbase. what gives? will the REC battle TAF over the firing of Miles?

There are a couple of factors, probably. Obviously, it's the biggest story in sports right now. It's not every day a program fires one of the winningest active coaches in college football.

Secondly, I'm truly fascinated at the delusions of grandeur that LSU fans have developed among themselves. And it's like you guys feed off each other. Group think on its most incredible display. You guys have developed your own rationale and social norms. Logic and rationality have flown out the door - even with the entire rest of the college football world giving a collective "WTF?", and you honestly believe that LSU somehow deserves better than what Miles has brought to your otherwise historically slightly above average program.

It's been really incredible to watch unfold. I admit I'm quite intrigued, and this week would have otherwise been pretty mundane.

oh we're delusional. ok thanks. I thought that was it.

When our coach is doing poorly we should keep him because well lets face it he's the very best we can do? right? hes a nice guy, right? Other options are not realistic right? As an Alabama fan, you know all about everything, right? So you can guide us out of delusionment into the light of reality?

Ole Miss has just been better the last couple of years. Yes, Les plays down to them but I doubt many national folks consider the Rebs a yearly quality opponent.

FSU was well coached. They didn't panic and were down only 11 at half. They were down only 1 point with over 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Auburn just got out to a fast start. All that matters is how you finish in big games.

Its ok to just say hey we like Fisher because he has ties to the team, area ect and we think hes a good coach, fair enough. But to just be friggan blind and make sh** up just makes ppl look foolish..

Someone said ill take Jimbo over 60 yr old Patterson. Um Patterson is 55, 5 yrs older than Jimbo. no big gap there
Now ppl are bumping Muschamp because he was mentioned in the same sentence, what has he done other than get ran out of UF and is currently killing Auburns defense? Oh but he gets a pass because he didn't recruit them, yet you guys are ready to run your current DC outta here after one yr???? Now ppl are trying to bump up the ACC, are you friggan kidding me???? name another team that has more talent than FSU in that conference other than Clemson. CMON MAN!

2010 W Florida (8-5)
2010 W South Carolina (9-5)
2011 W Florida (7-6)
2012 L Floirda (11-1)
2013 W Florida (4-8)
2013 W Auburn (13-1)
2014 W Florida (7-5)

Looks like he has wins over some really bad Florida teams, an average USCe team, and a squeaker over Auburn.

Jimbo is a fine coach. But if you think he's going to come into the SEC West and somehow duplicate the results he has experienced in one of the bottom 2 Power 5 conferences during that time, I don't know what else to tell you.

What's even more baffling, is this hope that LSU fans that if Fisher comes, he'll be able to beat Saban head to head more than Miles' has.

How many pro style offenses have beaten Bama over the last 5 years?
