I like sliced pork. Even better on a samich with a good Bbq slaw. But I can just eat the pork by itself like candy.

I love Old Taylor just outside Oxford. I've heard another place (ajax?) might be better, but for me you can't beat the experience at Old Taylor, the old building out in the country, drinking beer on the porch, and they usually have some old dude playing guitar in the back. I love it.

Oh, another Auburn restaurant to go to is Pannie-George's. If you like meat and 3 type restaurants that place is the best. Its basically four very large black women that know how to cook.

Pannie George's is great.

Also try "Cock of the Walk", its actually in Opelika but great nonetheless.

I wouldn't consider Ajax hidden. It's really good though.

I haven't lived in Oxford for too long, I can't really comment on the thread.

Take College Hill off Jackson. There is a road that branches off right after the three way stop that has the airport on the right. The turn is literally 20 yards after the stop sign.

Some damned good southern eatin' there.

Rockaways..they have the best Pimento Cheeseburger.

the pimento cheese fries are good too

not so hidden places: Salty Nut Cafe, Mr. Friendly's, and Pawley's Front Porch.

In Oxford, apparantly there is some hole in the wall place on Jackson across from the gas station/post office. My girlfriend's roomate said they had the best steak. Anyone in Oxford know about this?

Dave's is a good place. Not hidden but I have to put a plug in for Tabs cause its my bar and im a reg. The cotton district has become a great area. 5/6 bars in walking distance from campus, Starkville stogies is also there and has a great selection of cigars if thats your thing.

Stromboli's is a great Italian place. Eat there

I know where you're talking about but no clue as to a restaurant across the street. That gas station has a parcel service(or at least used to...wasn't the post office though) and it was just West of the Square on Jackson.

is your looking for good food in knoxville, check out dead end BBQ or Gus's Good Times Deli. if your in the fountain city area, hit up Littons or Sam and Andy's.

good bars/hangouts: Old College Inn (OCI)-Peyton's favorite bar
also, Tin Roof is good for a gameday
