Without Mateer we throw even worse than we run.
Was it his pinkie finger on his throwing hand? In high school our QB broke his pinkie late in the 3rd game of the season, yet we only lost one game after that and went two rounds deep into the playoffs. Oh, and that was with no surgery. Just tape, light padding and painkillers.
