What do you guys think about SOSs recent comments. He said that things are really quite in Hogtown nowadays and they need to catch up with Georgia. He also said while most people expect him to hate UGA and FSU he didn’t. He said Georgia and Kirby had class. He said Georgia players didn’t play dirty - didn’t make late hits or hit out of bounds. He went on to say the UGA players always said the right things in press conferences and that Kirby has classy players.
I admit it shocked me. Old SOS actually talking nice about UGA. WOW! Has hell frozen over?
I figure he is either going senile or finally decided to start speaking truthfully.
What do the Gators think about your idol?

I know how hard it must be for the evil “genius” to be heaping such praise on Georgia. Looks like his old age is mellowing him and he has decided to tell the truth instead of acting like a jerk

UGA beat the shite out of him when he was a player and ruined his natty chances.

When he was a coach and UGA was pathetic he got his revenge.

Now the tables are turned and we're beating the shite out of them again.

It's not really surprising that he's complimentary, i mean if he tried to talk 30+ year old smack it would jsut look pathetic.

I thought his retirement after the disastrous SC beat down in Athens was telling. I think he knew that fb had passed him by and his methods were no longer working and his snarky remarks were seen as being more pathetic than funny. I noticed that after the game he lingered on the field, just walking around and looking up at the stands. I thought it odd that he didn’t go to the dressing room with his battered team. My friend even remarked that he looked beat down and his coaching days were probably numbered. And sure enough a few days later he left SC in the middle of the season. Bailed on them just like he did UF.
It was quite a shocker to hear him actually heaping praise on Georgia. If he’s angling for an analyst job at UGA I’m afraid he is going to be upset. It will never happen. I’d like to think his comments were made because he wanted to tell the truth or heal old wounds but knowing his history I suspect he has a motive that he thinks would benefit him

I think I made myself perfectly clear. Maybe the problem is your ability to read and comprehend.

You're right, everyone here is very familiar with Steve Spurrier's recent comments about UGA. We are very up to date on exactly what is being referenced, and there's no need for you to expound further.

And here we have come full circle.

Where Steve is a hall of fame coach who will be remembered long after he is buried in the dirt - and you’re just some loser on a message board talking shite about a guy who doesn’t even know you exist.

I’ve actually met SOS years ago in Augusta, Ga. I was with friends who knew him and It was a short conversation. He was pleasant enough. Didn’t change my opinion about him though. He was still a loud mouthed narcissist who couldn’t stop himself from showing his rear end every time a tv camera got within 10 feet of him.

Doubt that. I’ve had a very good life and have no complaints.
SC is what they have always been. A wannabee program. A thing Florida has become too

I was shocked at his comments. Don’t know if it’s senility or deciding to be truthful but it was a real trip hearing him heap praise on my Dawgs. I’ve met him but am certainly not claiming to be his buddy. I doubt he would even remember that day in Augusta. I only remember it because it was SOS, the biggest jerk in college football at that time.

You're mad because someone is actually criticizing a former SEC football coach?
Btw, Spurrier doesn't know you exist either, so get your nose out of his arse.
