Bob Devaney recruited from coast-to-coast and got the best of the best to come to Nebraska. Hell, he was the guy who took red-shirting and strength & Conditioning programs to another level. Nebraska lines were totally overpowering and dominant while nearly all the starters were 4th and 5th year players. He had a "summer program" (now illegal) that had players constantly involved with some type of "supervised" training....The guy was way ahead of his time, and they just kept on going under Osborne.
