Here's a pretty crazy stat I just ran across (RE: Alabama)

In the last five post-seasons (including conference title and bowl games) Alabama has played 7 teams with a combined 83-3 overall record. Add Notre Dame into the mix, the record is pushed to 95-3. That's 11-1 and 12-0 Florida in 2008 and 2009, 12-0 Utah in 2008, 13-0 Texas in 2009, 11-1 Michigan State in 2010, 13-0 LSU in 2011, and 11-1 Georgia in 2012. Alabama is 5-2 in those 7 games.
I believe our "weak" schedule is more than made up for by these 7-8 games.

This thread seems like something that you'd see on a Boise State forum defending their annual record by outlining their performance in their "kickoff" game against a BCS opponent.
