Unless something has changed recently, LSU athletics gets no state money -- it has been self-sustaining for decades. In fact, athletics gives money back to the university for academics.
So the above LSU poster was right, the state of Louisiana hasn't given Kelly a dime.

No the state does not pay any off Kelly’s contract. You know that LSU is one of the only state schools who sports receive no state funding right? Not a dime of state funding goes to the LSU athletics. TAF pays that then the rest is private funds.

Not in LSU case. The academic is state funded. And athletic funded because TAF gives to the academics every year. The athletic side is one of the only public schools with no state funding for athletics. As I stated before. LSU athletics recorded no state funding for athletics.

I have never seen someone from another fan base so worried about what another institution does financially.
