The state of Florida audit determined that USF overpaid Skip Holtz and other employees. The original audit said the school needed to pay the state back just the amount they overpaid from the state fund. The Auditor General said that was stupid and they just need to do a better job in the future. LSU you are more broke than USF.
USF let Skip Holtz keep his overpayment after he left the school.

That's frickin fascinating. The state of Louisiana hasn't given Kelly a fricking dime.
You got any other brilliant insight, you infantile retard?

Lol they overpaid his severance. Meaning he had no future wages to reduce. Yeah they’re not getting that money back

Do you have any idea at all what’s being referenced?
You do know that LSU overpaid Kelly and your buddies are claiming the state audit is the only reason y’all are making him pay it back right? You also know that your buddies are claiming nothing can be done about it and he has to pay it back because the state said so?
You also know the state does pay a part of Kelly’s salary, right? It’s a small part, 400k.

Goddamn LSU fans are stupid. You do realize multiple coaches have been sued for money paid to them after they have left the school right? Getting money back because of an overpayment would be the easiest money ever to get a court to approve.

Well at least you can relate to that.

How was I wrong? I said either every other team has never made this mistake(which I said I have a hard time believing) or every other team has let the coach keep the money. If USF let Holtz keep the money I can guarantee you every time other SEC school would let their coach keep the money.

This is one of the most bizarre melts on this board I have seen. Starting multiple threads in which you contradict yourself. You are more upset about the error than LSU or Coach Kelly. Strange.

Another thread? Lol
Learn to read.
The state was under the impression the overpayment violated state law as it relates to severance.
The payment was for damages, not severance.
You are not only wrong in your summarization of the matter, but you are also comparing apples to oranges.

Auditors also took issue with the $2.5 million over five years that Holtz is being paid after he was fired a year ago. University employees' severance pay can't exceed 20 weeks of compensation, according to state law. However, USF has contended the money is for damages, as spelled out in Holtz's contract — not severance. The millions are required because Holtz was fired without cause, USF replied.

They didn’t overpay him. They paid him exactly what they agreed to.
