That is an organization that really holds all the cards, no doubt.

Oh I'm not sure. The only Oregon deal I kept up with was the Willie Lyles scam, for obvious (LSU) reasons. (Whew! ) There's a couple of Duck lurkers/posters that might see this and know.
Yea and 3 months or so before that bombshell drop, before anyone even knew who that was, i read a post on Auburn Eagle from an excited Barn fan who met this "recruiter" on a flight back from Arizona who told him he has been helping Oregon secure a lot of recruits in Texas and he had just started working with Auburn in doing the same. The poster said it was a man named Willie Lyles. I didnt think much of it at the time but then later when the shite hit the fan i rememer the post and was able to do a search and pull it back up. Im not sure if it has since been deleted.

That's a minefield that has to be navigated I guess. Recruiting is so tough and there are so many, a guy or group that can give a good run down so that a clubs field is narrowed is pretty valuable. Just got to make sure the evaluator isn't 'persuading' kids improperly.

I don't think Auburn has gotten anyone from Texas since Emory Blake and Nosa Eguae, and neither of those two were highly touted recruits.

Yea they may have never got anything from him, prob just knew who he was bc he helped lure Lache away when they were battling Oregon for him. Maybe thought they could use his services but then he got shut down before they could get any use from him.

Always comes back to Auburm.
MSU, you have to look past the just Redman, has the booster helped other folks? How long has he been part of the program?
As to penalties, you never know, but on the surface I would agree that relatively minor sanctions appear possible.

It will never go past the Memphis area and he is our only recruit there. The NCAA was looking into the general area and we essentially turned ourselves in with the "potential irregularities" with Redmond. That is why we were never under officiall NCAA investigation. I really feel bad for the kid, booster gives you a couple hundred bucks and you even return it. This is really a situation where the kid was taken advantage of by a booster. I wish there was a more harsh punishment for the guy coming but I guess not being able to buy tickets or donate is enough.

You might be Aubsessed if you are on Auburn Eagle. That's sad, fella. Why would a fan of the ALMIGHTY TIDE care about 'little brother'? Just curious?

Actually many fans visit other teams recruting boards to get diff angles on recruits. I also am a member Volnation, Dawgrant, and view Tigerrant.

This can't be right. I didn't see Auburn even mentioned in the article?

Not reading 4 pages to make sure it's already been said, but this "article" I not what is supposedly coming. The article supposedly coming today is an "ESPN original", not a rehash of other things. Also, it is supposed to be written by Joe Schad.

Somebody said earlier that he hasn't even played. The worst that's going to happen to Miss State is a loss of a couple of scholarships, probation, and a full investigation into the program. I don't see this being serious enough to bring on a bowl ban.
