For an All-SEC team, I'm pretty sure that should be the biggest qualifier. That's why people were surprised Nerlins made 1st team without playing in the majority of conference games.

Well obviously it doesn't since NN made first team. It just seems inconsistent.

It is. Because its just the coaches, there's no real accountability in criteria. It's not like the AP poll where you can see who voted for who.

JOB only had 2 before SEC play. He was dealing with an injury and hadn't started the year very well. That means JOB had 11 in the 18 SEC games. That is impressive.

Sorry if the SEC doesn't think Murphy's double doubles coming against powerhouses like Mississippi Valley State and Coastal Carolina are legit.
By that standard, Frankie Sullivan should be considered one of the best scorers in the league right?

I think it all matters, but the SEC numbers are a better gauge because of JOBs injury which limited both his minutes and effectiveness in games before SEC play started.
As a result he lost not only a chance to pad stats against crap teams, he was on the court so little in some games that his starts were depressed by those early games. His SEC #s are higher than his OOC numbers by a good bit, and if you look at LSU's OOC schedule you'll see that there is no way the guy wouldn't have beasted against that group of cupcakes if he was healthy.
Holloway is a good player too, but to call out JOB specifically is just stupid.
