Wouldnt the most logical comparison be yards per game to account for uneven amount of games?

No because yards per game fails to account for blowout games where the player is sitting the bench for the 2nd half of the game.

Yards per play is a lot better comparison tool than yards per game.

I'm not saying Ingram is a better player than Bo ever was. I AM saying Ingram in 2009 was better than Bo in 1985.

If you are going to play the "pull a hypothetical out of my arse and throw a bunch of turds on the SECRant" game... why not go one a bit better.

Put Ingram on the '85 WarEagleChickenTigers. How many yards, TDs, etc does he get?

Ingram probably puts up the same stats as he did in '09.

Now, Put Jackson on that '09 TeamSaban offense. How many yards, TDs, etc does he get?

Jackson would set all kinds of NCAA records on that '09 team.

/thread.

Time to go and get ready for a steak dinner and Trans Siberian tonight.

In closing:

Bo - #1 athlete of all time
Bo - not #1 RB of all time

Look, nobody is doubting that Mark Ingram is better than Bo Jackson and has his own 30 for 30 coming up soon, we're just saying that Onterio McCalebb is the greatest runningback of all time.

I only read the first page. Has it been pointed out that bowl stats weren't included in Bo's day? So whatever stats he accumulated in the bowl game wouldn't count towards his total, so essentially MI amassed his stats in 3 more games than Bo.

And Fullwood had 6.8 ypc to Bo's 6.6 ypc that year.

Of course he did. Every defense keyed on Bo and Fullwood was like Omac, the home run hitter that was a home run hitter when defenses were not expecting it.

And Fullwood was only the #4 pick in the NFL draft and a pro-bowl runningback that won the NFL ROY award.

FlukerFlakes over there was like

"that brings his total yard/touch down to 6.5."

. At the very least, Ingram was an extremely lucky Heisman winner amongst a lackluster field.
