damn sec offensive player of the yr over tebow in 07? glad the heisman voters weren't still against giving it to a underclassmen then cuz no offense to dmac he had 2 amazing yrs no doubt but tebow deserved it
troy smith got it in 06 yea dmac kind of got the shaft just by the comp he had at the time its hard not to give to smith before the title game everybody loved that osu team they were the undefeatd #1
When Troy Smith won it, the excuse was that McFadden was an underclassman. When Tebow won it, that was suddenly okay. I never even entertained the idea that McFadden might win it, because there was no way they'd give it to an Arkansas player, but it was fun watching them squirm to come up with excuses.

Darren McFadden
He may of been hurt more by the fact he was a RB. It's pretty much just a QB award now.

I think for Clemson both Woody Dantzler and Taj Boyd. The defense during the Boyd years was bad, the O line was mediocre and no big power running back. Sammy Watkins and Nuk Hopkins both too if WRs had a realistic shot at winning Heisman.

Brad Smith - Mizzou
Put us back on the map with almost zero tools around to help him. I believe he was the first qb to ever throw for 2000 and rush for 1000 in 4 straight years and the first to throw for 8000 and rush for 4000 over his college career. If he had a better line and stable of receivers, who knows what he could have done.
Sounds like one hell of a player. It's always cool to hear about players like that in a time where I wasn't old enough to care about football.
Well, funny you should say that. He is my favorite player of all time and can be attributed, more than anybody except Pinkel, with leading Mizzou out of our dark age. However, your brethren dont like him very much because his last game was a 21-point comeback win over South Carolina.

Ouch, well that must've hurt.

Haha, just kidding of course.

Basically, who do you think is a player that had (or has) what it takes to win the Heisman in your opinion, but won't ever get the chance because of the team they're on? Basically the diamond in the rough for their team?
List the player and the years he played if you can.
we all know you are on a fishing trip for Cooper and since know other fan brought him up you gave the answer you were looking for. He's a good receiver but only usce fans think he's Heisman worthy.

I posted my opinion simply because I realized that I forgot to do so in the original post, I could care less if others don't think the same. I made this topic to hear other's opinions on the matter, not to get a specific answer.
But I honestly believe he's more than just a "good receiver". To each his own though.

I can agree big time on Watkins, the dude has major talent. Not 100% on the other guy, but I'll take your word for it.

for what it's worth, Rescue...Brad Smith singlehandedly beat Spurrier's South Carolina team in the 2005 Independence Bowl.
Literally did it by himself.

Eli Manning
3600 yards passing is pretty good but 29 TD's to 10 interceptions is certainly not heisman worthy.

What are you trying to bring down my spirits?! Haha, nah, just kidding. That's pretty admirable, tho.

Dak- Fullbacks that can throw a screen pass are not appreciated.

Dak had as good of a passing year as Eli during his "heisman" year.

Pharaoh Cooper is the real deal. He tore it up last year in our game. 200+ all purpose yards, 2 Rec TDs 1 Rush TD and a passing TD
