I disagree. Les was salty at OSU and that was before they saw the benefit of Boone's charity (although this improvements were in the works). Les is a good coach and would get good talent at a lot of schools and be competetive. He's at LSU and gets the benefit of LSU's talent, so he has a top 5 program there.

This is all going great. Hate it for the OM fans, but love seeing Hooter Dale fall from grace.

If you Arky fans would have been kind enough four years ago to let us know what a huge monumental mistake we were making in hiring Hootie as opposed to staying quiet on the subject like you did, we'd be in better shape right now. Not very neighborly of you.

Les Miles is just a Houston Nutt at a school that brings in talent on it's own to the point he can't make it a complete disaster.

You put Les at a school with less built in advantages and you receive 4, 8, 9, 7, 4 win seasons...

Guess you'll never know motherfricker.

I'm sure Curley thought the same thing.

I was never a Les fan but you have to be a retard to think he isnt the reason for continued success...on all fronts.

Without going into details.......we won't be paying Nutt the full 6 million dollar buy out.

For whatever reason, Ive always thought he was a solid coach except for maybe certain aspects of game management. But as far as a teacher, developer of talent, and having the ability to fully prepare a team for a game - its hard for anyone to disagree he is a solid HC.

Sure, Saban turned everything around before him.

Miles and Nutt are similar that their greatest success occurs with the previous coaching staff's talent still on the roster...

Nice! I wonder who out there wants to be the 4th head coach at Ole Miss in 8 years?

expect to hear the word "interim" sometime in the near future.

A lot of people won't like it based on performance at a current position. But I think he would make a decent interim HC.
