Chop block is illegal. Cut block, on the other hand, is legal. But it usually is a sign the OL is weak and can't match up.

They like to cut the ends. At least twice this year we've had nice runs called back for completely unnecessary chop blocks that appeared to be the cause of the tackle and guard not being on the same page. This is likely due to us having played something like 7 different line combinations so far this year due to injury.
We've also had I think 2 runs called back for illegal cut block downfield (after 5 yards).
They definitely need to clean this shite up because the penalties have absolutely killed drives. On all of the drives where we've gotten one of these penalties, they've stalled out immediately after the penalty was called.
So far, none of them have seemed to be malicious or dirty.

Yea...the article mentioned that some nice plays had been called back. It just kinda shocked me a little bit when the article quoted Coach O as saying it will not stop.

What article? The one you linked to in your OP? Oh wait...you didn't link a article. You might be the worst. I'm so dumb for replying in earnest.

The chop block is not legal, I seriously doubt Coach O loves it -- coaches hate obvious penalty situations that frick up drives, though there are, of course, dirty individual players -- and your post kinda sucks in general.
