You gave them the ball back with over 2 minutes near midfield. That is an eternity in college football with the 1st down rule. Running the clock down served no purpose besides giving them no shot to respond if auburn did score. It made no sense not to play for the first down there

I personally like seeing Arkie competitive. They have a long road but it is a good thing to have as many relevant teams in the SEC as possible. Always a good thing for Gus to experience the pucker factor as well.....that was just a bonus! Thanks hogs.??

No. We would have taken a knee on first down after we recovered that fumble. And that was ballgame. Arkansas won the game.

You weren't getting that call overturned on replay. It has been discussed ad nauseam. IF the officials hadn't blown the whistle, an Auburn guy may have recovered it because he was on top of the ball but stood up when the official came right on top of him blowing the play dead and signaling incomplete. Would it have rushed the FG team? There were 29 seconds left in the game so that is possible.
