I was there last night and saw so many jorts rolling out after the top of the fourth that I thought there must be some emergency

McKethan Stadium is a joke. There's no atmosphere there. It feels sterile. Fans too far from the field and elevated too much. Parking is not good. The sun and heat are only issues because of so much concrete and other things that reflect light and heat.
I don't think I've ever heard old timers from UF complain about the baseball setup they had before McKethan. It was certainly a lot smaller but it seems they all liked it much better.

We're you on the third base side? Section J bleachers?

Were you the fat guy in section B with a plastic pig on your head, who left in the 5th inning?

Lol the hate is real. We are getting a new baseball stadium with some shade dog!
Yeah anyone who's sat in McKethan Stadium during a day game can attest to how brutal that experience is.

You would seriously find more people hanging out behind the stadium in what shade was available rather than sit and roast in the stands.
Glad UF is getting a better facility.

We're getting a new baseball stadium and most of our sports get great fan support despite the higher caliber of alumni. It's not our fault that we're the only real university in the SEC aside from Vandy.

At least they're putting a new stadium where the sun will actually be behind the crowd. The renovation would've added shading but I don't think it would've helped at all.

Y'all barely average 2000 a game.
Edit: Before you pull the "we suck card" well y'all averaged even LESS than that in 08 when y'all played in the CWS final.

That looks nice. I’m surprised someone built the current stadium with no roof to cover the fans.

Gotcha... There was a father and daughter back behind us in the bleachers.
I was down in the chair back section with my wife and daughters. I was the fella supporting mustache March

Even that new stadium looks weak.
The current stadium looks like a shitty tennis arena.
What a disgrace to the game.

I am sure there are a few things that cause UFs attendance to lag at times. Foley took a stance for years that facilities would not be a priority. Also, this isn't the mid west. There are a ton of things to do in Florida. Professional sports. Unlimited water activities. College sports have a ton of competition for eyeballs.

Hmm. What pro sports are playing right now?Magic is a big draw?
Didn’t know Gainesville was on the “water”.
They won the natty. There’s like 30 people in the stadium today. 15 are Hog fans.

They just showed the bullpen and it’s a single wide trailer in the outfield with garage doors.
Nice.
Why is UF so poor with all these high academia alumn?
