I know that we've played more P4/P5/AQ OOC over that period than LSU has.

How many of those were played outside of the state of Florida?

It's two in the last twenty-five yeares, and only one true road game - which they lost to a Utah team that ended up 8-5.

TWO! In the last TWENTY-FIVE YEARS!

I'll excuse your dickriding the Noles due to the fact that Florida has a losing record to LSU.

...and Miami.
...and Auburn.
...and the aggies.

Is UF really the worst P5 team in Florida?

OOC games are critical to express the strength of the conference
The other conferences need to display their strength, not the SEC. The SEC already has proven "strength of schedule" on its side.

Yeah, that's not how shite works.

Not to mention you are asking for AQ status type stuff based on the past achievements of a few teams. Of which can easily be lost in a matter of a few games - and then what?

If they are going to take SoS into account, these things matter. If they aren't going to take SoS into account, then there is no reason to be in a tough conference or play tough OOC games.

I hope SoS will matter.

Look….. I’m one LSU fan that will admit that Florida plays a strong non con schedule, which is much stronger than almost all of the conference including LSU.

But…. If you are going to use the fact that you have an overall winning record against us to say “ride dem dicks”. GTFO!!!! lol

Our record against you “on the field” is 34-34-3. We’ve won 5 of the last 6 and
11out of the last 15 games.

Thats how it will be working going forward. ADs have figured it out. Thats what Greg Byrne announcement was basically saying when he stated they would be evaluating schedules. The SEC holds its own strength of schedule status. We don't have to play OOC games to get respect for our record.

There was no announcement. He was making the case that SoS should matter more.

If what you were saying was true he wouldn't have needed to say shite in the first place.

Lol, I don't have to argue with you if you can't read between the lines of what Byrne said. Sit back and watch over the next few years. The results will speak for themselves. SEC will start scheduling much easier OOC games.

So you'll no longer cry about our vacated SEC title and Bama's vacated wins, right?

This is “Your” Post that I quoted.

So…. Don’t be pulling a quote from yourself and using it as if I posted it. Then… acting like an arse chewing popcorn.

So you're finally admitting that UF doesn't have a losing record to LSU in football?

Check that schedule over the next 10 years. Pretty much two power 4 teams every year, including Ohio State, Notre Dame, FSU, West Virginia, etc. The whole SEC needs to schedule full conference challenges with other power 4 conferences, which would determine which conferences are better. The SEC beating ACC 14-2 this year settled that hoops debate for this year and will influence playoff seeding.

Maybe the rest of the SEC should sack up and also play 2 power OOC?

UCLA cancelled our game with them next year (they also cancelled one a few years after with Auburn). So we just have one OOC game against a power team.

It is what it is.

But... we do have two in 2026, 2028, 2029, 2031, 2032 and 2034. Three in 2027, 2030 and 2033. And we have some unscheduled OOC matchups that might go to 3 for some of those years if the SEC doesn't go to 9 conference games. 2030 is the only year with 4 OOC matchups scheduled where we would have to drop a game if the SEC added a conference game. We have OSU, Clemson, GT and NC A&T OOC that year.
