We've been better than AU in baseball and basketball for 20 plus years or more. Better than OM also.

As a whole athletic program in the Big 3 sports MSU hasn't ever been the worst. In football yes you could make a solid argument but we have a rich tradition in baseball and overall our basketball program has been solid, more so than other programs like Ole Miss, USC, Auburn, Bama, UGA.
Some schools are top heavy with 1 really good sport (Alabama, UK)
MSU is just solid in 2 of the 3, with football steady gaining ground to midde of the pack. We aren't dominant, nor are we "bad". I guess it is opinionated based on how much an individual would weigh each sports' success in comparison to the entire athletic dept.
I definitely can't remember a year where MSU was bad in all 3 sports at the level Auburn was this year.

Meh it's kind of a push.
We have 10 overall conference championships to Alabama's 7. Bama has more NCAA tourney appearances. MSU has made it to a Final 4.
They are pretty close but Alabama gets the edge I didn't know ya'll had so many tourney appearances.

MSU/Vandy? Seriously?
Ole Piss hasn't won the SEC REGULAR season in ANYTHING since the early 70's. That would be over 40 years of fail. Vandy and MSU have had A lot to be proud of since then.

Yes, at the moment there is no doubt we're overall the worst SEC athletic program. It's all fluid though, AU has the facilities and resources to bounce back quickly. Jay Jacobs will need to go first though to reap the benefits of those advantages.
