Yeah but in fairness, outside of 2020 and the 2021 SECCG, they've been the beneficiary of some shite situational luck in this series. I know a loss is a loss but goddamn, they would have won the 2017 game running away if Saban kept Tua on the bench.

There’s a reason he’s the goat.

How did you miss Spurrier vs Stallings?

In 7 seasons, the SEC title was decided by a showdown between UA and UF 4 times. UF won 3 of them. In two of those 3 seasons, UF was Bama’s only loss.

Depends on if you consider us a "juggernaut" or not, but during the Mack Brown years (10 wins per year, 2 championship appearances, one natty) we still had trouble with BloU in Dallas every October.

Of course that is one of those games where you can truly throw out the rankings. In spite of our program being less than stellar for the past decade, we were still able to beat them a couple times with some of the worst Texas teams in my
lifetime, and we're talking OU teams that were top 10 at the time.

I must point out that historically we still lead the series, most of the trouble began late 90's.

That was the early 90s. 91-94 I Believe.

It's probably been said, but FSU would have won a few more titles but they couldn't beat Miami.

You mean the missed false start on Georgia's right tackle that got a head start before the ball was snapped on their first touchdown play of that game?

Wonder why you guys turn a blind eye to that one?

Or any of this...

OU would've had two extra NC's in the 80's were it not for the Miami Hurricanes

Like at least 10 games to be able to develop trends

Considering college football has been around for over a century, a 10-game sample size only works if it's within a more limited stretch; otherwise you're average more than 10 years per game potentially.

Both Switzer and Stoops ran off 5 straight wins on texsa.

The All Time stuff is ONLY from prior to WWII.

Even with the great run DKR had, 12 of 13 at one time, texsa does NOT lead since WWII.

Michigan vs. last opponent of the season from 1970-1974. Michigan in each of these five seasons before entering final game:

1970: (9-0-0)
Lost to (9-1) Ohio State

1971: (11-0-0)
Lost to (9-3) Stanford in Rose Bowl

1972: (10-0-0)
Lost to (9-2) Ohio State

1973: (10-0-0)
Tied (10-0-1) Ohio State

1974: (10-0-0)
Lost to (10-2) Ohio State

Not counting the last game of those seasons, Michigan went (50-0-0).

The last game of each of those seasons, Michigan went (0-4-1).

Overall, a record of (50-4-1). Normally, that’s one hell of a stellar record in that time frame. But it turned out to be a curse for the Wolverines.
