I didn't say Utah was mentioned in the same breath as Utah on a program level but you have to look at teams and games on a year to year basis when assessing specific losses.

Yeah Utah only beat several ranked teams that year including two top 10 teams...they sucked!

They had some epic games that year, including the 13-10 win vs New Mexico.

They only beat one top ten team besides Alabama. TCU. Another Mountain West team. They also won 13-10

They beat freaking TCU for their only signature win of the season. Them beating the brakes of of Bama is the only legitmizing variable for their season. Beating Bama made them seem greater than they actually were. They were Utah and you're Bama. The fact that they beat you like a step child is what makes it embarrassing. If Bama had actually competed it may be a different story but probably not.

LSU's 21pt loss on January 9, 2012 is still the largest point differential for a SEC loss in the Superdome that I can remember.

Oh so their wins against ranked Michigan and BYU didn't count either?

Look, I didn't vote them as #2 at the end of the year, the AP did so if you want to crack on their schedule and how good their team was, you need to argue it to them too.

I don't mean performance in the sugar bowl, i mean worst team coming into the game. Has a 4 loss team from the sec ever gone to the sugar?

Neither were very good.

You lost to a Mountain West team. Congrats.

Everyone available was a 4 loss team this year. That's only happened a handful of times in conference history but this year was one where it did.

Michigan 2008: 3-9-0

Coach: Rich Rodriguez

Keep it up, buddy. I'll go all day. Utah drubbing Bama has always been and still remains the most embarrassing loss in SEC Sugar Bowl history.
