You do realize that most people who accuse someone of something are making an accusation that they are guilty of themselves?

I believe it was 6 states had already seceded, think Texas seceded after inauguration but don't hold me to that. I believe the South felt they could never win another election especially with the Democratic Party split in the summer of 1860.
They reacted and because they left the Union they no longer had the protection of the Constitution to protect the slave laws.
The common southerner didn't go and fight to protect slavery, secession was caused by the politicians and big plantation owners.
The Northern Republicans are to blame also refusing to meet and talk with Southern leaders, then Fort Sumter and then Lincoln call for 75,000 troops which lead to the northern part of the Confederacy seceding. It could have all around been handled better than it was but it's easy to look back and say what should or shouldn't have been done.

"I have no purpose, to directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exist."
Abraham Lincoln first inauguration
The Emancipation Proclamation was about keeping Europe (mainly England) from entering the war on the side of the Confederacy cause England had been having communications with the CSA.
The common Northerner or Southerner wasn't worried about a slave or slavery when they was trying to kill each other on the battlefield.
The rich slave owners and government officials didn't want slavery to end cause cotton was a big economic resource, northeners and free blacks did also own slaves.
A southerner like Robert E Lee in Northern Virginia viewed the cause more as a 2nd Revolutionary War, so he wouldn't necessarily hold the same view as a plantation owner in Mississippi.
The best way to learn about how people felt during the war is to read the soldiers letters and journals they wrote throughout the war.

Yes the left use tactics to divide Americans more because they want minorities to think "The White Man" hates them and wants to keep them down.
They manipulate them for votes when we just want everyone to be able to have a job and take care of their own families.

Racism is everywhere, I married a black girl 7 yrs ago we have 2 boys and my fathers family hates me because of it. I mean my dad loves my kids and he is ok but his dad was in the KKK so his whole family looks down on me. Idc thou they can kiss my arse but my wife's Fathers family is the same way they look down on her cause she married a white man.
It's just the way they was raised to be separated as races and not to mix with each other. Older people just set in their ways.
Btw I'm not one of these liberals who think we owe everything to minorities, we all have the same opportunity to do what we desire in this country which is what makes us great.

Clemson did play Alabama very well last year especially in the trenches, the game changer in my opinion was Saban out coached Dabo.
This year we'll see I expect a hell of a game.
One added advantage I would say Clemson does have is that they will have that fire that Alabama had in the 09 Sec Title game, hopefully Alabama will respond to that better than Florida did in 09.

I believe they have 3 guys back on the OLine, I think the biggest difference will be Jeremy Pruitt aggressive defense, that will keep Clemson from putting up alot of points. That being said I don't think Bama will light up the scoreboard either I think this game goes under the 54 1/2.
But I have been wrong a few times before so you never know.

Alot of ppl don't realize how well Clemson held up on the LOS last year, they just think it was all DeShawn Watson. I know Watson had great game but his Oline played very well.

I realize all that has zero to do with this game but it does show a trend that typically a great defense overcomes a great quarterback.
I'm not saying Alabama will win necessarily, I'm just saying that if Clemson wins it will be because their defensive front 7.
I know that's not the general consensus on how games are won but this game like every other game will be won or lost in the trenches.

How many Qbs had great seasons just to get beat by a overwhelming defense in the National Championship?
Marcus Mariota 2014
Colt McCoy 2009 got hurt
Sam Bradford 2008
Troy Smith 2006
Jason White 03 & 04
Chris Weinke 00
Gino Torretta 92
I know Cam had great season but Au beat Oregon with their redzone defense in the NC game.

DEFENSE wins championships.
Watson is great but the Bama defense this year is better equipped to handle him.
If Clemson wins it will be because their front 7 slows down Alabama's running game.

LSU's 21pt loss on January 9, 2012 is still the largest point differential for a SEC loss in the Superdome that I can remember.
