OP isn’t wrong. Let’s be real…LSU is just another big game for Bama. For LSU the Bama game is their entire season. It means literally everything to them. Last year even after 4 losses it’s considered a success because they beat Bama.

To be honest, I would've rathered beat Georgia.
Beating Alabama isn't that big of a deal anymore, outside of it being the pathway to winning the West.

There fixed it for you. Rivalry or not dont pretend we havent been the team this millenia that either punches your ticket to Atlanta or keeps your from it. Winner normally wins the west, its really that simple. Do i want to beat Bama, yes i like titles.
