It’s relevant because it means you are now free to be hit.
You are obviously trying to equate pass interference with targeting. They are not at all related.
It wasn't targeting but you don't know why apparently.

Do you know how many times I see players get hit hard in the shoulder when a ball touches their finger and targeting is never called? Almost every game.
The only reason this is even being talked about is because of the g force impact. It is a very hard hit, but that’s the only difference.

What the frick are you talking about now? I simply pointed out that, while it wasn't targeting, you don't know why it wasn't.
Ball touched his fingers blah blah.

Then you must hate the blindside blocking rule.
Hate is too weak of a word.
While targeting is the worst penalization (ejection) of a stupid rule, the blind side block rule is the backlit poster step-child of of the pussification of football

The hit wasn't dirty. The player was defenseless but it was not crown of the helmet to helmet.
It was just football happening...

Let’s just hope the exact same play happens to Stetson early in the game knocking his arse clean out, going out on the board. I am sure all the UGA fans will be coming here saying it’s a clean hit right?
Not one will say that shite and u fricking know it.
It’s a stupid rule that’s too subjective, and they need to fix it. You got lucky they are being very tight with it during postseason when they threw the flag for this shite all year. It wasn’t targeting because they picked up the flag, it’s a gift horse take it.
Same play was called all during the season, and they have had rules experts come in say classic targeting several times during bowl season and then the reversed it. It’s obviously a different rule interpretation for the post season this year.
That said TCU and Georgia should adjust and say frick it and go for the kills if you are allowed too.

He already got hit hard and it wasn't targeting on that one either.

Yeah, cause no other fans are that way.

Newsflash - football is a contact sport. I am all for player safety but lets avoid pussifying the game to much. Not everyone gets a trophy and sometimes you get laid out.
The hit was vicious but clean. Period.

Led with shoulder. High velocity shoulder to shoulder contact will have secondary side of helmet contact. Just a high speed direct impact hit. No targeting.

Harrison stepped out of bounds before coming back to make the catch should’ve been an illegal touching call on OSU.
Not targeting.
Not targeting.

Watching ??, I thought ,it must be holding. The replay of course showed ,no targeting.
Ya know, these targeting fouls would mostly disappear if they'd WRAP UP. Only on the big hits/ blastin a guy ,I've never seen one called when the arms are wrapped around

Textbook clean legal hit that saved a score

It was not targeting in terms of protecting the head and neck but it might have been targeting in terms of him having a bounty on him.

For all of the “it wasn’t helmet to helmet” and “he didn’t lower his head or launch off the ground”, please explain these two images. Thank you.
I don’t think anyone here can definitely answer whether it was targeting. Because not even the rules officials and referees can define and agree on what targeting is. But that last image shows he did lower his head and launch off the ground. If that is the definition of targeting, then it was targeting.
