Besides, why limit the wins to top 10? Why not go top 20? Top 40? I know the answers, but I'd like to hear it from someone else.

The post I responded to was about each team's "impressive wins". What's impressive about beating a team ranked 40th?

You're too funny. Don't get banned. I want you around. Win or lose OSU does not get in. Alabama is a lock.

DEAL WITH IT!

Jay Walker feeds the ULL trolls in Lafayette. Liking LSU is bad for business here.

So losing by 3 at home, in OT to the #1 team in the country = losing in OT at home to an unranked 6-5 team.

This has been posted several times and it's not even true. The game was played on the road on a Friday night in Aimes, Iowa the same day the plane crash killed the coaches at Ok State.

And this is a viable excuse since all those players knew those coaches.
It's really disrespectful to memory of those people to use them as a scapegoat.

It's more impressive than beating a team outside of the top 40.

No team will play a brutal schedule every year. If we are to evaluate a complete schedule, the quality wins components should have some consideration. If not top 40, I'd suggest top 20. To me, a top 20 win is impressive.

Most of OSU's wins were very close. A couple were come from behind.

And to the strength of their schedule, it's assuming the Big 12 is actually good. I'll withhold judgment until the bowl season.

The computers factor this each week. It's not a judgment. It's based on your opponents, their opponents, etc.

Key words. Only the computers think the Big 12 is that good. Not the human analysis.

Again, OSU may very well be the easier opponent, but I can guarantee you LSU fans wanting OSU has nothing to do with "easier opponent" and a Ton more to do with not wanting Alabama because we feel we already took care of them.

And it would make coonass heads explode if Bama walked in at the last minute and stole the NC and the undefeated season.
