New Orleans says hello. There is still time for you to make it, it starts this weekend. And damn you for making me google that. My phone has monkey pox now.

Texas is again contending to win the directors cup (for the 3rd year in a row) after notching solid seasons in sports across the board.
Dude this is the SEC
Footbaw
M basketball
W basketball
Baseball
Softball
With focus on the first and second one. Which of the 5 has Utx won lately?
quote:
Ironic considering you seem willfully ignorant when it comes to things Texas
Not really, been around and in TX more than most on this board. Old enough to be aware of the old SWC (before many on here were even a glint in their daddy's eye).
quote:
"all hat, no cattle"
Because you think Directors Cups > CFB and other SEC focused sports. Who gives a crap in the SEC if you have a Frozen Four or win Mens Waterpolo? Bring the real hardware in this conference and you get respect, till then you get hazed.

Dang, LSU’s twitter has been celebrating pride for years. Who knew? Good on ya’ll for being so progressive.

quote:Championships? 2005 for football and none for basketball. Still had a better season than the entire SEC in the latter, though. Also been champions in women's basketball and baseball (still in the hunt for another one this year, unlike a majority of SEC schools).
With focus on the first and second one. Which of the 5 has Utx won lately?
quote:If that's the case then you should know better than to continuously spout this "all hat, no cattle" when Texas' athletic department has indeed had "more cattle" across the board than essentially every other school in the league?
Not really, been around and in TX more than most on this board. Old enough to be aware of the old SWC (before many on here were even a glint in their daddy's eye)
quote:When did I say that?
Because you think Directors Cups > CFB and other SEC focused sports.
All I said is your claim to Texas is "all hat, no cattle" is willfully ignorant based on your data backing it up. And you do realize that the directors cup is across each school's 19 best sports, but is required to count baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball and women's volleyball, right? So it'd literally be impossible for Texas to win without being good in those "other SEC focused sports"
quote:Texas doesn't even have a hockey or men's waterpolo team so I'm not sure what that has to do with anything?
Who gives a crap in the SEC if you have a Frozen Four or win Mens Waterpolo?
quote:I'd say having more NCAA championships than the rest of the league and the most in the country over the last 3 years certainly counts as "bringing the real hardware" but OK I guess
Bring the real hardware in this conference and you get respect
quote:I highly doubt the guy that's a Columbia fan is in charge of the big bad "SEC hazing"
till then you get hazed.

Oh they've been openly celebrating it for years. Tell that to all of the corndogs on here yet they still don't want to believe it.

I was at that game and I think Regan was in office
Do you have any idea about WCBB in the SEC?
SEC has the most Natty's (11)
SEC all time Final Fours
18 Tennessee
06 Louisiana State
05 South Carolina (added in 90's)
05 Georgia (Landers had the misfortune to coach during Summitt)
03 Auburn
03 Oklahoma (not in SEC)
03 Texas (not in SEC)
02 State
01 TAMU (announced SEC move but still in B12 at the time)
01 Vanderbilt
01 Alabama
01 Arkansas

baseball
Lots of those were long ago and in a different conference, not an assured future history
quote:
Texas' athletic department has indeed had "more cattle" across the board than essentially every other school in the league?
Big ego and big fish in a small pond. We will see how that translates when you are in the ocean with the sharks. Imagine if Oklahoma had a bigger population, broader in state recruits, and all that dough. You would be so far behind in their rearview mirror you would be just a spec

So it'd literally be impossible for Texas to win without being good in those "other SEC focused sports"
So long time schools in the Directors Cup (like Stanford and North Carolina) are on par with SEC core sports?
quote:
I'd say having more NCAA championships than the rest of the league and the most in the country over the last 3 years certainly counts as "bringing the real hardware"
Stanford used to say that too, but pretty hollow when it does not put butts inn the seats and drive market value. Hope you did not study business in austin if you believe what you posted
quote:

You never know
If you knew your history better you would know that Ivy League sports influenced and affected many current and former SEC schools. SEC was already established when Utx was still poopin their diapers. You keep thinking you matter and I will keep laughing at you pumpkin.

I am still bewildered how you typed all of that and still don't understand that conference affiliation has literally nothing to do with who wins the national title
Damn, you might be the single biggest SEC dickrider on this site and that’s saying something
Kind of surprising that a Columbia fan would have this much of a hard on against Texas. Must be jealous or something
quote:small pond as in the entire NCAA? I thought you said we were talking about national titles?
Big ego and big fish in a small pond.
quote:Did Stanford not just eliminate an sec team in one of the core sports less than 24 hours ago?
So long time schools in the Directors Cup (like Stanford and North Carolina) are on par with SEC core sports?
quote:Butts in the seats like top 10 football attendance, a sellout in every game in basketball this past season, and a top 5 attendance in baseball? Because that’s what Texas just did in 2022-23…
Stanford used to say that too, but pretty hollow when it does not put butts inn the seats and drive market value. Hope you did not study business in austin if you believe what you posted
quote:yea, because nothing says “you don’t matter” quite like typing an entire novel about said team and defending every sec school against them.
You keep thinking you matter and I will keep laughing at you pumpkin.
