O lord this discussion again. Let's talk about a&m vs kentucky or how OU is going to destroy Texas this saturday. I've been hearing all week on YouTube and other sites How OU going to pull the starters after the first quarter.

A Wikipedia link? Come on, I meant something that actually has even the tiniest bit of merit.

Edit: just saw more links

Bryan businessmen aggressively promoted the town through land give-aways. To the Agricultural and Mechanical College, they made a total grant of 2,416 acres. Those acres have been described as a "wild, bleak prairie, barren of trees and shrubs ... except for one small mesquite tree." Wolves were abundant: One early student was attacked by wolves during the day in full sight of the main building. Another was attacked at night when he fell off a porch.

Instead of Lassie as a mascot, perhaps Aggy should have considered being the Fightin' Lobos.

Is there a memorial on campus to those brave early students who were eaten alive by wolves?

As a side note, LSU's campus was initially surrounded by a band of wild Tigers patrolling the University Moat. I'm told Bama once had a herd of elephants roaming the wildlands of West Alabama. These are all easily verifiable facts on Wikipedia.

The original Reveille was a Labrador mutt.

The state has 2 flagship university systems

Texans are so fricking stupid.

flagship noun

flag·ship | \ 'flag-?ship \

Definition of flagship

1 : the ship that carries the commander of a fleet or subdivision of a fleet and flies the commander's flag

2 : the finest, largest, or most important one of a group of things (such as products, stores, etc.) —often used before another noun

Websters

But we ALL know there is only ONE flagship:

Nobody but Aggies consider A&M more prestigious than UT. Nobody.

Seriously?

That's actually pretty awesome.

I had never read the story of how the mascot came to be. A good read:

Good thing the cadets saved that dog before the wolves got it.

I have multiple college degrees unfortunately none are from the university I love the most

But I’ll gladly put my 12th man foundation giving up against anyone on here and I guarantee I also give more to the tu scholarship funds than any lurking t-sip

Why do you ask?

Don't worry I think the Texas Gray Wolf is now extinct. We couldn't have them fricking with our cattle.

Too bad UT got the Flagship status.

A&M is just another state school like Tech.

Y’all should just drop the a&m on uniforms & the field. Plaster “Texas Aggies” on everything.

It sounds cooler and more “SEC”
